Thanks for the review and info! I JUST bought my first set of Tunisian hooks, so these are WAY too rich for my blood. But if I like Tunisian crochet as much as I think I will, I might get these in the future, far, FAR into the future! 😂😂😂😂😂

Would you recommend these over the Clover version for Tunisian crochet hooks?

Hello Day Rue thank you for your comment! I have never tried to Clover Version I know Clover is a great brand oh crochet hooks and my personal favorite. However the difference the case it comes in doesn’t zip, it’s made from bamboo it’s strong but the smaller hooks can snap based on tension. It does come with a variety of sizes more than lantern moon does. I prefer Lantern Moon over clover because of the craftsmanship and the style. I like the hook shape too because it’s not as sharp but grabs the yarn very well. Ultimately is going to be based off of your needs as a Tunisian crocheter. Hope that helps.

Thank you! I love regular clover amour crochet hooks but wasn’t sure about the bamboo tunisian crochet hooks. I saw the metal ones Toni mentioned on her channel from Sewrella but that price tag is steep and I wouldn’t use the small sizes either. I want to get into Tunisian crochet so I splurged today and got the Lantern Moon hooks. I’m excited to get them for Valentine’s Day as a present to my single self! ;)

Hey Aaliyah - I just purchased the 10 mm Lantern Moon TC hook and a 24 inch cord. I love the sleekness of the hook, but I find that not have an indentation for my thumb causes my fingers to ache. Do you have a suggestion to help relieve this tension in my thumb and forefinger (I use a knife grip)?

Hello Camilla! I have the same problem sometimes and I find that my fingers will ache because my tension is too tight so my fingers are working to hard to work the yarn. In Tunisian Crochet you need to have a very loose tension so I don’t use anything above a weight 5 yarn with my 10mm hook. Also doing hand stretches before you start crocheting is very important as well , it relaxes your hand and I find I can crochet longer when I do this.
