playing this game is an exercise in futility. No matter what you do, you're just fucked in some situations. Yeah, getting a well fought for win is a great feeling, but most of the time I can't even say I have that when I play this game. I always lose, I never have fun playing, and the community is just awful. Before I get people saying "the community isn't that bad" I would also like to point out that I took a long hiatus from DBD for a while when I was about to move to another house about 2 and a half years ago all because I was Doxxed and people where showing up to my house and sending pizza's to my house, calling my home phone and work phone, and the worst of them all: me and my family where threatened with real world harm over a clown match that didn't end favorably for some shitty survivor mains with a god complex. This game is the sole reason I have issues talking to people online or even playing multiplayer games to begin with, and is the reason I run a VPN at all times when I am gaming. No other community, not even the old COD community, LOL community, OW community, or literally any other community has done that. You can say whatever you want about those other communities, but I feel far safer being called the N-word or a useless pile of turds over getting my info sniffed and leaked again. Edit: Let me also clarify I didn't move BECAUSE of the doxxing, I was in the process of moving when it happened.

I agree survs have no other objective than doing gens but the same can be said about the killer. Besides, killing one person early just secures the surv's objective isn't done as fast. I don't normally tunnel unless I'm having a hard game but honestly, if you really want to win it's the most efficient way of doing so, specially against SWF.

Glad to see I’m not the only one trying to figure out how this killer is supposed to be played optimally Spook. While I like her as a character, Snug is still very buggy, the hit detection for Snug chasing still feels very off and the houndsense mechanic feels kinda useless. Deep Wound and Killer Instinct can be very valuable but only if you can consistently get people with both of them in a short amount of time but Houndsense not only takes too long, but far more effort than say Legion or even Deathslinger with his deep wound after a spearshot. I think the chapter is kinda in a bad spot right now but the devs can come back from it with bug fixes and slight buffs. Don’t make her busted, that’s not what I’m asking, just make her more viable because in her current state, I feel it isn’t too bold for me to say I think she’s bottom 5…

She's a zoner, so use the dog to either push a survivor away from better loops, or to catch them while they're trying to leave a loop. Her timing is very small since she has slowness when calling the dog so that's still pretty hard to get used to.

being 'tunneled' maximizes your chase time and the moment you're successfully knocked out of the match you get to go into another and if god forbid *'tunneled'* again you once again have your chasetime per hour spent on the game maximized, as compared to... holding m1 on a gen / going up to a hook and holding m1 on it / holding m1 on a damaged surv etc everyone always says chase is by far the only fun interaction on the game and yet all you ever see is survs complaining about being chased too much, it's interesting

Tbh, I haven't had the best games with Houndmaster either and i think it's just I don't understand her power. I tried thinking of it like a Huntress hatchet or Pyramid Head's Spaghetti trail and the dog works nothing like the powers I'm familiar with. The dog will run straight into a wall and stop or a rock on a simple loop and still gets stuck. I think it's kinda dumb how the dog works and could probably have a small buff or something. You want to know the stupidest part? Searching doesn’t get Deviousness. It should! It’s half her power! I get 2k in deviousness every game because I hit like 3 chases but I use search constantly. Also, I have found a ton of success using a totem based build with Lethal, Devour, Dominance, and Surge, though I plan to swap Dominance for Undying once I finally prestige my Blight.

I don't think Houndmaster is hard to play, she's just such a buggy mess that you often find yourself in unfair situation a lot of the times. The worst part about her are when snug get stuck on random a## sh## or when he simply refuse to follow you or come back to you. Apart from that she is not as weak as people make it out to be, she is up to par with slinger imo but better since unlike him she has mobility and comformed health state on vaults. People still beed to find their mark with her.

Yeah love how the Dog is only one leveled. Had a match on the Game and the Dog only sensed players on the Level he was on so if they are on the top level and he is on the bottom no detection

People will complain about anything and everything no matter how you play as killer. Ive had games where I went out of my way to two hook everyone and let them all go and people still will complain. So if people aren't going to have a positive reaction to me being nice and complain anyways, I might as well win in whatever way is easiest to me at the time.
