3 topics - The original controls, the game, and epilepsy
I've always wondered how to deal with epilepsy on these playlists. It's not that I don't care. I really do, and I appreciate YTers that actually care to advise of it with warnings (see Dead Meat). But as these are all video games, retro especially, there really wasn't much of a point. There's flashing everywhere from Atari games that just strobe colors, super moves in fighting games, exploding balls of light everywhere...it just feels like anyone even considering the demo reels would just know. I would think that maybe marking epilepsy friendly games in their own playlist would work, but I'd need a source that can verify that since I haven't played all the games to the end. What do you think?
Then the controls. This is obviously emulated, but unlike other games, I genuinely have no idea how the original game handled. This is constantly veering in one direction and I'm just not sure if that was the case in the original game. There's no obvious way for me to recalibrate it, so maybe this is really how it controlled?
Finally, the game. It's influenced by almost every single sci-fi movie special effect that existed at the time. Except the second Death Star run. That came 4 years later.
