It's a very underrated solo....I know it's very well known and all,but it should have way higher status,like right right up there....I dont know how many times I've cried to to that solo....the song has everything ...your in his heart and soul with this .....the only other song that does that to me is " Coming back to life " Pink Floyd....again the guitar makes me cry...lol......Two of the greatest guitarists in history.....God bless you Mark Knopfler

0:34 to 0:41 How often do you hear that chord progression? I've heard at least two other songs with it. I wonder if those artists got the idea from this song. 6:57 I wonder if Mark likes that four not riff. I've heard it in other Dire Straits songs. (I don't know about any of his solo songs.) And the long ending always depresses me. (especially at 7:21, when Mark stops playing, and the piano takes over)
