Been there, done that. Blisworth tunnel back in 2019. Although we'd turned the lights on and everything, the tunnel light was little more than a candle. About half way through, one of my 'crew' stood a small torch with a 'marker' LED on the roof, just over the saloon doors. Then I had a reference point and it was easy after that. It turned out that the two other crew had brought their tent door light strips. A tape about 1.5m long, with LED's sown into it, with a battery. We laid those in the roof rib 'gutter' from the roof edge back and that is the perfect answer. The two light strips (in perspective) point directly ahead and 'locate' the boat in the tunnel. Blisworth the other way and Braunston were easy! Sorry to hear about the river lights.

We moored in the same spot yesterday there is a plaque in the wall of the theatre the locks at the end are going to be replaced Halton council and Peel holdings are involved there’s a utube video available it will probably be an inclined plane 👍👍🖐🖐NB Fiddlesticks
