You need to wire in a dump valve for the air bags so you can dump the bags for low bridges etcetera from the cab we have them on our lowboys it's a big help just throw the switch before you go in and air up once through.

Time to go old school, mount on the top front two corners of the trailer “curb feelers”. Short stubby antennas that are 1/2” taller than your back platform. They start scraping you’ve got 20+ feet to reach

Ok you wont believe this but you guys actually saved me! So there I was leaving my house late for the cape may lewis ferry and to make matters worse getting stuck in a ton of traffic! I was supposed to met my mom and some friends at the ferry as a walk on but I was nearly 30 minutes behind schedule by the time I arrived in lewis! My mom was trying to convice the boarding staff to delay boarding as much as possible but they assured her when the captain said it was time to leave she would have to board without me. Over and over they insisted that boarding was about to take place and they couldnt wait any longer. I pulled into the station and ran on the ferry right as the captain called for boarding to finish. Everyone was puzzled how I managed to make it despite being so late. Now we know the reason! It was your giant RV loading onto the boat that delayed things enough! We saw your RV unloading as we exited the ferry on the cape may side and all commented about how amazing it was that your rv fit on the ferry and how your rv must be the reason I made it on the ferry. I know it wasnt your intention to delay the boat but seriously thank you I would have never heard the end of it from my family and friends if I had missed that ferry! Also crazy that I stumbled onto this channel today! Not entirely sure what your channel is about other then RV stuff, I was watching a video on roof top campers before this one lol

We went through the Chesapeake Bay tunnels in June and can totally understand the worry and concerns you guys were feeling. It’s your home; is all the planning and research going to work out. The time spent worrying leading up to it. The lanes feel just a smidge tight. 😊. Thank goodness there is a rest area after crossing to pull over and walk it out. 😂. Loved the video and seeing the height clearance. We met some semis going through and it just looks so close from rv roof to ceiling. It also just made so much more sense to go this route for us if we fit. It was an adventure.

Early in my trucking career (1991 or 92) I went through the Chesapeake Bay tunnels. My truck was no more than 13'4". But my cb antennas were 13'8". I never got checked & went through. My antennas rubbing the ceiling all the way. The Eisenhower Tunnel west of Denver is more critical. Going east, I set off the alarms & had to lower my antennas before I could proceed.

But do your research on the Chesapeake Bay tunnels and bridges the documentary about it is incredible. Also yes the tunnels were made for the Navy ships and other ships to go across. Because the Navy yard is on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay bridge and time.

Just remember these 2 rules, I learned from the best maritime pilot while docking ships. - An inch is a mile. - Go slow, you can get some mo (more). Go fast, you don’t last. 👍😃🍻
