Tupac is an example of what NOT to use your God-given gift for. I do believe he's the best rapper of all time, but if he used his talents for God, he would've been an even bigger beast. I think he would've eventually gone this route, but his life got cut short. He was actually ministered to the night he got shot and was told that it was his purpose to bring people to God with his music, but his response was "I know, but I'm just having too much fun right now". Absolutely devastating. I think it was God's final warning.

No, actually the Bible says to judge those who claim to be believers (e.g., wear cross necklace, say "Only God can judge me", etc.) yet they are in willful sin without repentance and REMOVE THEM FROM THE CHURCH/FELLOWSHIP WITH THE SAINTS. Tupac was in willful sin (sexual, serving Satan with his career, worshiping the things of this world, etc.). When you say "we as Christians", know that the label obligates us to act as if Christ Himself would. Jesus wouldn't use the "A" word, other than describing a donkey. Certainly not in church and would not call anyone a FOOL no matter what they have done, and lastly, He wouldn't use hateful language towards the sodomites but rather condemn the sin, not the sinner. Our land needs healing, we can all plainly observe, so when we read; 2 Chronicles 7:14 -"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." - then we realize this passage is speaking of the Christians of the nation/nations that need healing, and that means the church needs to humble themselves and take a closer look at themselves in these last days which has become the root of the problem. We aren't supposed to be acting "Holier Than Thou", but rather reprove with love and understanding.

I can’t find the verse that says “ hate the sin, love the sinner.” I can only find a quote by some Hindu named Gandhi. You do realize as a Christian there’s a real place that God created called hell, right? He 100% will send people there and that’s not really a loving act.. and God literally rained fire and brimstone on Sodom.. you know, the event where he killed sodomites en masse? I’m pretty sure that’s a lot worse than me talking about sodomites lol. It was a righteous act of God and still would be if it happened today. The Bible condemns them enough as is and all I happen to do is believe it and preach it 🤷🏽‍♂️. What I will agree with you about is that we shouldn’t be so quick to condemn people, for sure. I mentioned this already a few times, on this comment section, that this was from like 3-4 years ago now. Tact wasn’t my strongest attribute then, especially before starting a family and having kids! Looking back, I definitely hope I would’ve approached this a bit differently when it comes to my tongue. But all my points would, essentially, still be the same. Appreciate the comment but, I never said it was all 100% fact or fiction. The point is someone who has a righteous lifestyle of abstaining from wickedness, or wicked people in general, wouldn’t ever be in that situation to begin with. Whether it’s true or not, there’s still something there that involved him, which is why I even brought it up. Whether it’s a bad crowd he hung around with, a set up, or whatever… it doesn’t really matter. The fact is if he was the righteous person that a lot of people think of him as , the whole situation wouldn’t exist. It’d never be brought up 20-30 years later. Let me tell you something, this preacher has no right to judge Tupac Shakur and say that he’s in hell. Doesn’t this preacher understand that everything that Tupac has said was an image and a character that he had to create live up to in order to sell music. No one knows what the real Tupac Shakur was thinking and believing behind close doors. Maybe he did repent to Jesus Christ before he passed on. Maybe Tupac Shakur repented of his sins every night before he went to bed, we don’t know. Did any of you live with the man? No one knows the real heart of a person behind closed doors. When I was younger I had hard times in my life when I was down and out and I cursed God and yelled in the air how frustrated I was in life, but behind closed doors I repented my sins to the lord and I’m sure he forgave me. No matter what someone does in the open in front of people has the right to judge them and say there in hell no matter what the Bible says. We as humans are not in a position to act as God and make final judgment against another human being for what he or she has lived and done with there lives. So preacher, before you judge someone else, go home, look in the mirror and take a good look at yourself and write down all of your own sins that you’ve committed and read Proverbs and then repent to Jesus Christ for your own wrong doings that you done in life and stop judging other people weather there famous or not, because if you haven’t lived with them, then you don’t know and will never know anything about them.

Sorry I singled out your idol for the sake of making a point. It’s not just rap, it’s all of those genres you listed when it comes to mainstream music. I don’t need to physically be dead to know if someone rejects, or has rejected, Christ. As Christians the Bible should be our final authority in everything and the Bible teaches that we should judge righteous judgment (John 7:24) and that he who is spiritual (ie a believer or religious person) judgeth all things(1 Cor 2:15 kjv). We’re allowed to judge between bad and good , right and wrong. The world may tell us otherwise but I’ll rest upon the Bible for my beliefs, opinions, and moral stands I take. Tupac with his own mouth rejected Christ as the only way, and then proceeded to mock Christ by putting himself on a crucifix for the Makaveli album cover. Whether you like to believe it or not is up to you. I’m not forcing anyone to do anything. The Bible wasn’t made to control people , if that’s the case then it’s doing an awful job at doing that even with it being the #1 piece of literature ever on the planet, and Christianity being the #1 religion in the world.. yet more so than ever people reject Christianity and the Bible as a whole. It’s an extremely flawed argument to say it was made solely to control people en masse. Just say you don’t believe the Bible and go on your marry way. In regards to the message there’s nothing particularly special about Tupac, other than his fame. I could’ve picked any rapper or big musician. He is just one of many false prophets the devil has used through media. Bottom line is, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked; he’s not willing that any should perish, but that all would be saved.. but the harsh reality is there is a hell. The life of Tupac is a sad example of why all of us should heed to the Bible and believe on Christ Jesus. God bless.

I mentioned this elsewhere on here; this sermon is from like 3-4 years ago now when I was in my younger 20’s. Hind sight is always 20/20. Looking back I definitely would’ve tried to approach this with a little more tact but oh well.. you live and learn. Beauty about the Christian life is our Lord doesn’t hold grudges.
