Looking at the comments, some Turkish fans are not happy to lose one set whereas some Turkish team haters (I really don't know why) are cheering up that Turkey lost a set. I guess that is how you become a top team, your fans cannot tolerate a loss of a set and your opponents are consoling themselves with that just one set loss in a winning game. Agreed. And the saddest part is our people do it and find an excuse like 'i can critic'. But they not being able to distinguish between constructive and destructive criticism. We as a Turk have problem of dissatisfaction with anything, unfortunately. When Ebrar first joined the team, some people in our country against it but now they want Ebrar so bad. And not only for Ebrar, for every new players. Same thing happening to İlkin, Aslı, Kübra. I am so happy that they got a chance to play. Yeah, they need more time to improve but these are great opportunities. We need to support them and give them a hand. Seeing some Turks draging them down is heartbreaking.

@@TombyKK yeah but for Kubra, Aslı and İlkin is different. They were always sit in the bench. Even in their clubs. So, for me i can't be so hard on them, it is understandable to get rusty when your choach won't allow you to play in big tournements. And volleyball is psychological game too, for being strong in this you need to be part of it. No doubt, the atmosphere is different then club games.

I think there is a wrong information with Turkey's team. Everybody especially Turkey haters are very happy. No need to be happy haters. There were no main players the comminication was weak in the team and the result is 3-1, so when the play is hard Santarelli made Vargas play...In my oppinion if this match was played with main players the result would be 3-0. Eda, Gizem, Zehra, Vargas all the best players...but 3-1 is very good result without main players...so haters listen to me, when you are being happy, first get the information about the team ok...

Cuando un jugador pasa mucho tiempo sentado pierde el ritmo y cualquier persona que sepa de deportes lo entienden, lo malo de la humanidad es que siempre quiere ver lo malo en todo. Lo que muchos ven como prepotencia o subestimación yo veo a un entrenador que cuida a sus jugadoras no menosprecia al contrincante solo ve un espacio para que las chicas que no rotan mucho puedan resolver partidos completos. This was a shocking performance and a shocking result. A game that most people thought would be 3-0 ended as 3-1 and almost reached 5 sets. The lack of concentration and defense was visible. Peru stuck together and fought hard to win that set. Türkiye was not playing their best volleyball and probably underestimated Peru a little. So this was a good game for the turkish side to see which players have to push more and where are things to get better. @@belizadaliActually, for players change; it wasn't because of Turkiye underestimated Peru, it was because of resting our players. They attended vnl and euro champ right before and played non-stop. I think 'underestimated' part is a language barrier thing. I admid we (as an audiance) didn't expected, but right after match started we understand we were wrong and Peru got better. That's why every Turks in comment section shows their admiration towards Peru team and praise them. (they are not directly saying sorry but saying we were wrong about Peru) Hope we understand each other more 😊

Considerando que Perú , es un eterno desface generacional desde los 90s lo hizo bien , ahí debería estar la generación de Angela Leiva como Colombia y Argentina pero están las sub 23 prácticamente , con cero apoyo y llegando al torneo el mismo día de juego lograron un partido con honor imagínense si hubiera una federación medianamente profesional.

I am confident that Santarelli will take this into account in the upcoming games.Peru is not a top team however they have shown what a team can do if they are organised. Ebrar is a very talented player, we love her, and respect. However, she needs to be consistent and reliable. There is significant work ahead to reach Vargas level, to be consistent and reliable. And emotions need to be controlled. Leave everything for after the game. Vargas on the other hand is a different level. Keep up Vargas, you’re writing a new chapter in Volleyball. Don’t fall in the pitfalls of dolce vita in Turkey. When you want to live life by all joys of Istanbul, you may lose your abilities; please don’t mess up, please. I don’t doubt about your professionalism though. And, Turkiye, being so reliant on Vargas only, you show your very weak stomach. Diferencia abismal entre Turquía y Perú en el Voley, así Perú le hizo el pare a Turquía, me emocioné con cada punto peruano, el cuarto set casi era de Perú, pero estuvo a la par en muchos momentos del partido, el entrenador Turco ya se puso a gritar. Vamos Perú, con esta nueva generación de chicas en la selección adulta podemos avanzar, ojalá al FPV se ponga a trabajar y ya no deje ir a más chicas, hay que trabajar. Me sorprende que Carlas Ortíz casi no jugo todo el partido, entraba por ratos, prácticamente el equipo peruano era la sub-23 a excepción de Karla Ortiz y Shiamara Almeida. Ojalá este equipo vaya a giras internacionales y preparen más a las chicas.
