My KIA? Bent the rear axle. The good news, I went up to the local Wrecking Yard and brought a battery and some premix. The Cadillac which sat for 13 years, fired on the 3rd try. (The only parts removed were the hood ornament, mag center caps and the badging. Being a first year Cimarron, nobody wanted it.) When it fired up, the stereo was blasting Journey "Any way you want it."

Man. That’s a real shame. If I were in that situation, I’d hope I have some funds to throw at the problem. Grab a cheap piston and swap it as fast as possible. The clutch, you need to go with an aftermarket performance clutch. Twin disc if you’re REALLY feeling ambitious. But either way, find a clutch that’s rated way beyond the torque level you ever think you’ll achieve. Like 1000ft lbs. have that puppy overnighted and get it in there. Alternatively, you could take your time, order up some good strong Wiseco pistons, do research on clutch brands and models, I really would suggest a twin disc unit, then build it up strong for next year.

First off; I'm glad you weren't injured, it's as if you had a premonition that your clutch was going to let loose, with you emphasizing running a cast iron bellhousing, 2nd point is that your 300 Six thinks its a built 429 Cobra Jet, with its psychotic torque output. You may be prudent to give your Torino a day off and; work some more on Ms Daisy's 65 Mustang instead
@HotRodGuyGarage2 ай бұрын
I always prefer a iron bell if it can be had there strong enough to dealt but soft enough to bend before exploding. And yes this motor made every bit of the torque that the built 460 it replaced made! Working on another mustang video as we speak look for it Saturday morning
