Those 4.8s love boost. My buddy has a turbo 4.8 in his Tahoe that he's been trying to kill so he can put a built 6.0 in it. It's just not dying. It's paired to a 4L80 that was built to hold up to 1000hp so he won't have transmission issues anytime soon.

@Cesar not with the 4L80. The 4L60 is the weak one. There's many stock 4L80s with a half million miles on them. I was a transmission tech for 3 years and the only time someone brought us a vehicle with the 80, was if they hauled equipment a lot, was pushing huge power numbers, or they had a bad MAFS.

Thanks thinking about using a small shot of nitrous to help spool the turbo it's got a 110 hotside got a little bit of lag on it I'm trying to figure out hooking up a procharger along with turbo but after the turbo gets into boost to have an actuator or pump to shut down the procharger for higher rpms idk just a food for thought I want to do something nobody else has so soon this channel will have plenty of content just need to figure out the plans or direction I want to go

I have a single cab long wheel base Chevy 2500 hd with a 6.6 L v8 gas engine swap from the 6.0L V8 it had in it which the original motor only had 110k miles on it which isn't nothing for those vortec Chevy motors especially the 6.0 so I have it as a back up but the 6.6 L v8 that I got from a wrecked 2024 Chevy 2500 hd gas truck that was rear ended has a super charger on it making 790 rear wheel horsepower and 200 wet shot nitrous system and the bottom end is stock but IDC if it blows up but it's built like a tank and I have put 36k miles on jt so far and not a single knock noise or problem. When I put big tire slicks on it it will run 8.8-9.1 in quarter mile no prep. It's a sleeper for sure cause it looks ugly paint is faded few dents from being my first ever work truck I bought front bumper is bent up a little from hitting a deer when my brother was driving it before all the mods.. I left the body looking like a work truck so it can be a sleeper and it has a electronic muffler to go from real silent to wide open unrestricted with a switch and I have won lots of money racing with it and I have to add 700 lbs to the rear since it's soight being long wheel base single cab I use sacks of concrete that I hardened inside the sacks then strap them down intonthe bed

Alot of people on here who say they'll take a lambo over the silverado clearly haven't raced either of them or owned one at some point I can make more power out of a LS engine than I can a Lamborghini not to mention the COST it's wayyyyy less to maintain a truck especially a chevy truck hence being I own one. 2007 chevy 5.3 brakes are 250$ other parts depending on what ya get are under 600$ and the 4.8s don't get much appreciation not to mention I've taken corners in my silverado at high speeds and it handled it very well thanks to the LTZ suspension from Cadillac it's a 2007 like I said z71 4x4 5.3 1500 LTZ rides like a dream

But really its not targeting an amount of boost so obviously it's a solenoid and then a pwm signal you can get a pwm controller for like a motor but it will work fine even with a display and figure out what precent corresponds to what boost

@Witty 401 son well you can just get a cheap pwm controller and do the same thing as that but if you are using and arduino I don't know why you wouldn't have the MAP sensor hooked up so it can make what you tell it to make or try to but with just a set pwm percentage it will make what it makes but it will have no idea how much it is making or care but if you want about the same you can go on ebay and get a pwm controller for probably like $10 and hook it up to a solenoid valve and you just have to figure out what each percentage males
