How did you know what order to put the cable on for correct firing order I want to do this to my 91 325 I’ve just starting the turbo build your videos seem very useful to me although it’s seems like I still have so many questions about this system

I just read through online manuals and forums. After that I took my time and mostly just hoped. But if your wrong you just move the plug wires anyway

They are pinned into the output connector in the ecu and provide signal to the coil pack next to it.

@@shed_mfg Ok. So the wires on the ECU are labeled output to Quadspark or something like that?

@@jws6076 not quite, you can look up the pin out for the output plug on the ecu and then pin it yourself with the supplied pins with the megasquirt. And from there you just configure the three batch fire orders for the m20. Lucky I got it right first try.

Making progress on my project however I was wondering if you can remember what size of fuse you used to connect the B+ terminal in your 6 pack ignition coil? Thanks

No, I searched multiple sources and found a couple megasquirt forums and kinda took a stab at it. If you message me on instagram I can send pictures, videos and talk you through it pretty easily.

How many cylinders can you run with one Qaudspark?

I just looked through their documentation, I think 6 might be the maximum.

What size wire did you use for conneting the pigtail?

I believe it was 14g, the same that was coming from the quadspark unit. I matched all of the wire sizes that came with the unit.

Quick question at 5:41 in the video. Why does it look like the pink wire is terminated into the spark out D on the plug for the coil?

@@drewfuller5596 the pink wire goes from the quadspark box to the ign6 coil pack (via 4 pin plug). I actually just got it running, so I know the wiring is correct. I can send you a picture of it installed if you’d like.
