No need to remove the top completely just remove the front 2 screws and it fits fine and keeps chips protected

I imported a original white pc engine from Japan through eBay and last year and went straight for the turbo everdrive pro instead of sinking money into the hucards and even plays the cd games flawlessly without needing to track down the cd addon simulator to my mega everdrive pro on my model 1 Sega genesis and it sure makes it convenient especially since the cd addons are pricey for either consoles and unreliable and I’m a happy camper. 😊👍

awesome video. one more thing to add, you forgot to mentioned you'll need to format the sd card as xFat and not NTFS. Do you know what is the maximum micro sd card size is supported ? Thank you.

I dont know offhand, I used a 256gb one. And I didn't think about formatting since I plugged in a new card and it just worked lol.

The title of the video shouldn't say perfection. The save/load states are not working in 95% or more of the games. And I am talking about Hucards Roms not cd roms. This is far from perfection. This video is misleading. No wonder why none is showing the save/load states on any KZbin video with the Turbo Everdrive Pro, when using the analogue Duo. It is only working properly when using the cartridge on original PC Engine hardware.

I cant speak to other ppl, but tbh I have never used save states in my life. That's no excuse for not showing them for sure and I apologize, but it's not something that even crossed my mind at all. Save states was always a computer/emulator thing and I never used those growing up

​@@BlipsnPips Using or not using save states is a personal decision. I am not gonna argue about that. What I am trying to address, is that The Turbo Everdrive Pro is far from perfection if the save states are not working as they should with Hucard roms. Krikzz is not being straightforward about this and promotes this cartridge as having save states, and they should clarify that is only working on real hardware. I can understand that you or other KZbin channels for that matter, are biased. Among other things for receiving test cartridges or consoles for reviewing. Nonetheless, you should consider that many of your viewers will buy products based on your reviews. So it is not correct not to comment on the flaws of a product. One of the good features of the Everdrive cartridges is the save states including systems like Snes, Nes, etc. Especially for those using FPGA consoles like analogue. Many users want the Everdrive to use roms and many buy them just for the use of save states alone. So this problem in the Turbo Everdrive can not be omitted when making a video. That the save states are not working for such a premium price the cartridge has is unacceptable. All KZbin Channels should mention this instead of trying to hide it.

Not trying to split hairs, but in defense of Krikzz, he has never stated the TG is compatible with the Analogue Duo, I personally just tested it with one because I don't own an original TG. And as I stated before I don't nor have ever used save states so it didn't even cross my mind to check them, so that's def on me. But I wouldn't say my views are biased for getting one for review. I wanted a flash cart that could play games on the analogue duo and worked for Hu card and cd, which this does and why I like it so much.

And neither you nor any other KZbin video has mentioned it. And if a product is reviewed, it needs to be a full review, the good and the bad. For the viewers' sake, that is. I would dare to say that it is unusual that none of the reviewers on the KZbin community mentioned this problem. It is not fair to us consumers. Regarding Krikzz I am still waiting for a reply from them. However, I doubt they will respond. If they do, I will post their response. In my opinion, they should clarify that their product is not compatible with using save states with Roms on Analogue Duo, even if they never explicitly stated that it was. This is a limitation of their product that should be made clear to their customers. By the way, I appreciate you taking the time to reply, which not all KZbinrs do.

@@Maxwell_2023 when did they ever advertise that the everdrive pro worked with the analogue duo at all, let alone supports save states. In fact, they even claim that the everdrive pro wouldn't be able to play CD games for any TG/PCE that had a built in disc drive. So they actually marketed as having fewer features and less compatibility than the product actually had. and it is funny that you think save states are a prerequisite to perfection. The original hardware and software never had save states so you are asking for more than what NEC Hudson even offered - just be glad you are able to play the entire library of basically 4 different systems and even works with the Analogue FPGA hardware emulation. And I am not a youtuber or even an everdrive owner or trying to defend Krikzz, - I just used the jailbreak firmware update for my Analogue Duo since I knew one would be coming out not long after it dropped (considering they have done it with each other system, especially the Analogue Pocket that came out right before).

I found a trick for operate the everdrive (not pro version) on the analog duo. You must first start on a real hucard game, exit the game, insert the everdrive, go to library, select the previous game and launch it, this manipulation allows you to launch the everdrive ✌️✌️✌️

Doesn’t work. I tried it with my Everdrive 2.5. First got a game not found message, then got the same old Fat 32 error message when I try to load it the normal way.

The problem is the older turbo everdrives DO NOT work with the Duo whatsoever. I wasted $300 on this thing and I can’t use it because I have an older everdrive. I’m not spending another $200+ on a new one.
