Purple pump is a racetronix 340. Silver pump with the big bell is a Walbro 525 hellcat pump. I would Run the 525 on a Hobbs switch secondary using the standalone harness. You’d just need to tap into the trigger ground for the relay and send it through the hobbs.

I’m gonna have to write that down so I don’t have to keep asking lol. Would the 340 single work by itself?

@@StationroadRatrods I ran the 525 full time for a couple years before I went twin 450s and brother is still using my old 525 in his firebird as a single pump running all the time .. u don’t want to be using a corvette style regulator with the bigger pumps in the only thing .. they tend to not keep up

The truck has dead head style rails, but I have an eBay return style boost referenced regulator that i’m thinking about using with a bigger pump. Any issues doing it like that?

@@StationroadRatrods dead head is ok. Not a recommendation but it is what it is and people do it all the time. You can’t run really anywhere near the fuel needed with a poweradder with a single pump that won’t overwhelm a stock regulator though. You’ll be pushing 70psi at idle and with not very stable decaps it will be hard to get the idle nice and drive like poo poo with decels super fat. The 340 is a decent single pump but I ran it with deka 60s and meth as a crutch lol. With decap 80s and a boost ref’d regulator it would probably be able to limp you along with a bit of an exaggerated IDC as it’ll definitely drop a bit up top but you’d likely be able to drop the base to 3 bar and make them 80s a bit easier to idle and stretch the 340 out further. After having done singles, massive singles, and regular twins, there is without a doubt a reason why people run dual pumps. I wouldn’t really recommend dead heading a pump like a 525 on a street car without first telling you what I’ve seen lol. It takes a lot of amps and makes a lot of heat and cycles the tank FAST and using a boost ref’d regulator return as essentially a dump valve creates a lot of heat in itself. But YMMV way up there where it’s colder and with a much larger gas tank than a car. I had issues with it during the hot summer during 2+ hour drives and then went to dedicated feed and back to my 340 while putting together my twin pump setup. Shoot me a text anytime if you need help

The purple one is a racetronixs pump .. probably 340 ? The stainless one is a walbro 525 hellcat pump

@Jordy-927 snow is my great motivator to get this project done! Even if I don’t get to paint it right away, at least to drive it with boost
