For zero testing and you're first open comp, I think it went great. No rods left, no fluids had to be cleaned up, and no smashing into a wall. They next one will be 100x better. Great work

I am proud, that was the most stress I’ve put on myself and it was worth every bit of it!

Great job bud. Switch to a turbo 400 and a good 3500 converter and put some 3.42 gears in the rear. Lower the RPM limit to 5700-6000, and when you get your tires on, even if they are brand new, Burn them off some. Get them to under 1/2 original tread. THEN raise the pressure of the tires to about 45-50 pounds. The higher pressure will help the centers burn off faster and as they build heat, it will help them pop louder. Which will make them popping easier to hear over the engine. Last is make sure you have REALLY good (and fairly thick) wheel tubs for when the tires do pop. So it doesn't tear apart simple sheet metal. and possibly the radiator. Make sure when you get to a stand still when doing a burnout, you are NOT right next to a bunch of people right behind the wall. Stay towards the middle if you can get it to sit still out there in case something lets go quite violently. Last thing you want is someone causing you legal issues that could potentially bankrupt you.
