Hi there, quick question on this. Spent a lot of time trading warrants (including turbo warrants) last year on DeGiro - does this constitute spread trading and is it liable to tax (CGT)? Essentially betting on the direction of a security without buying the actual security, so same as spread trading?

Hi bro, Degiro is requesting me to constantly change from the 'EUR MMF' to 'Open Cash Account', but I am not sure if it's a requirement and I am worried about interest rate associated with that cash account offered by Degiro and finding info about it is tough... do you know anything about it?

Yeah because degiro are an investment firm they weren't allowed to hold your uninvested money previously so they invested it in money market funds, now they are partnering with a German bank to look after uninvested cash, its much safer in that your deposits are guaranteed up to 100k in the German bank. Its better to switch over

Yeah its there for most of the popular ones like Amazon, Apple etc You may need to take a 5 question test to get access to leveraged products

Hi thanks for sharing, I hesitated to chose my non-cfd broker, just so you know france Boursorama offers 0 commission trade on SocGen & GS turbo/warrants (so called "Produits de bourse" for retail) don't know if they offer this to foreigners tho, offers is called "Boursomarkets"

Yeah it's CGT on forex if trading it for investment purposes
