I've only moved to london recently for uni, and my accommodation is next to Farringdon. It's really weird seeing electrostars running on the thameslink tracks. I never knew they ran any!

Woah. 3:30 pm is where the sun sets. What about the Hammersmith & City,Metropolitan and Cirle Line Platforms adjacent to the Thameslink Line Network

Z-TeamProject They can do 100mph on both AC and DC but overall probably on AC as they can do 100mph running with ease on the WCML/MML but it is busier on the Brighton Main Line so 100mph would be more difficult to achieve but not impossible.
