Seems somebody's in love with 1/4" black iron threaded pipe & teflon-tape. Copper tubing & mini-bender much quicker; steel tubing and double-flares, even. KISS. I'll keep my Morso, thanks.
@survantjames2 жыл бұрын
That’s 1/8” iron pipe I’ll have you know! But yeah next project is definitely gonna standardize on tubing/flare/bender. Cheers!

Did I hear you guys talking about a water injection system? If you do put one it, I'll bet the best place to do it is the bottom of your cyclone filter where the heat is greatest, it might help with coking issues in the turbo too. Cool project either way, I love seeing things with turbos that don't normally have turbos🤣.
@everettw2 жыл бұрын
There is water injection on the burn chamber located in the top. More water injection is definitely in order for future revisions. Check out the main Survant James channel and you can see metal warping over time as heat builds up in the vortex filter.

@@everettw Injecting water through hot charcoal results in carbon monoxide and hydrogen, both of these will then burn producing carbon dioxide and water.

I have so many questions..... Are you adding fuel? If so how is it being delivered? Some type of injector? That valve your operating, is it the fuel supply?
@survantjames2 жыл бұрын
@@nateburns5933 The fuel is loaded in at the beginning before the fire is lit, and sealed in. The valve opening and closing controls the air flow into the furnace.

Please don't shoot me Down im very curious about the use of purpose of these builds I'm seeing all over KZbin now I want one too haha what I want too know is just because you can and it's sik or is there actually use or purpose or just something to play with when your mates come over with the beers Thanks too all who reply

Main purpose of this is to eventually generate thrust. Other people have made similar designs which heat up hot tubs or other novelties.

Building these things are alot of fun! But I don't see anyone using safety covers for the compressor side? Runaway turbos nothing nice and it don't take much for them taking off..
@everettw2 жыл бұрын
Compressor side? The furnace? You are on to something as it would suffocate the fire in a runaway situation.
