Great videos. The "Hour of Power" name really takes me back to the 80's, because I'm old. You deserve more views for these. :)
@NintendoComplete9 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I appreciate it :) and you aren't the only one! Being a child of the 80s is starting to make me feel bit dated too

NintendoComplete All good. I'm glad these (and the Atari/Coleco/Intellivision era) are the games I grew up with. Much easier to appreciate them today and look beyond the "dated" graphics, many of which still look great.

Koru Productions Agreed. The 8 bit machines were really something when they were new. Imagine if the developers now pushed any hardware to its utter limit and beyond like they were regularly forced to back then

Order of the Griffon (48:58) had some of the most awesome music on the TG16! I am a Genesis fan, but this was (IMHO) the best D&D RPG of the 16 bit era!

I loved the first stage theme (24:20) of Sinistron too!

Good Mix of songs here showcasing a bit of what music on computer processord used to sound like. Honestly I find this more intresting than anything related to more contemporary games.

The Falcon title theme sounds like a mix of an Atari 2600 and SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive theme

I was wondering how can a no name title have such a good composer. Then I listened to the original and it clicked. So they had some take a almost perfect song and make it a great song. Nothing special there. Haha

wow how about some volume?

Wow, how about some manners? I'd suggest checking your computer or browser's volume. The video is plenty loud, I raised the volume as high as I could before the sound started clipping when I encoded it.

Love this music selection! The TG-16 is such a great console. One question though, why are you using Nintendo controllers for the background of a TG-16 vid? :D
@NintendoComplete6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And that background is the one I use for all my videos, I just recolored it to match the system theme is all :)

Hm. Pc Engine/TurboGrafx 16 chiptunes just aren’t that memorable to me for whatever reason, but Genesis sticks with me, and not just from nostalgia. Not sure why.
@TotallyGoodatGames6 жыл бұрын
The Genesis musical "palette" was more diverse than the TurboGrafx-16's, it seems. It could have also been that the Genesis game's compositions were stronger, too.

I feel like at least for me who doesn't play many games,the appeal is maybe moreso its use of primitive technology at this point.
