In order to combat your feedback….not sure what mixer you are using to mix the mic but let’s say you are using a Mackie. Start with the channel GAIN at O. PUT your fader at about 60% up. Slowly bring up the gain just until you start to hear feedback. While it’s barely ringing, gently roll out the mid or highs until it stops. This will give you a good starting place. You should not have any more issues.

What size / wattage subwoofer do you recommend pairing with each of these speakers? Would 2x 1000w be enough?, or would 2200 or more be needed? Thanks

I’m using EV EKX15 subs and they seem to pair rep nice

The general of rule of thumb is this. For whatever wattage you're running on top, you double it for the bottom. So these are IP300's are rated at 300 watts RMS. So the best kind of sub would be something from around 600 watts RMS to 1000 watts RMS.

Can a hook up a sub without a mixer? I tried running from the xlr "link" port in the back and I get nothing to the sub. I'm using Bluetooth to control the speaker and just can't seem to get a sub to connect to ip300. Thanks...
@DjJoeyPinaDJ4 жыл бұрын
You can only connect to another sub with XLR if you’re using input 1 or input 2 Bluetooth is another input but it doesn’t send the signal thru XLR to another speaker or sub

Hola un par de las ip300 pueden dar buen bass solo para un hogar , digamos para una habitacion???
@DjJoeyPinaDJ4 жыл бұрын
Para una habitación si. Para una yarda necesitas un bajo chico para complementar las ip300s

Hey there’s a famous KZbin dj that has these and he claims that the music drop off on these is pretty significant, what’s your take on that?
@DjJoeyPinaDJ4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rene Yeah I saw that video To be honest I have used my ip300s for few times for ceremonies and smaller 100-120 guests events Small to medium size rooms These speakers aren’t meant for big banquet rooms or big school dance type gigs

I already own the ip1000, ip2000 and ip3000's. Usage is DJing and running sound for bands(2000 and 3000). I will say that with column arrays in general, the sound drop exists around 30-50 feet from front of house. Vocal clarity extends further, but most midrange and low end fizzles. These (like my Ip series) have a niche. The niche is that sound drop off. All of the event/wedding venues typically cringe when off-list DJ's come in because they tend to not jive with their sound protocol (DJ speakers go boom-boom😆). So these like the other Ip's allow you to keep the dancefloor pumping and allow any table beyond that point to hear the music, but not in a way to prevent a busy room conversation to go on. Bar tenders love it and venue owners always come up to me and tell me how great they are. I've actually got onto a few preferred vendor lists because of these. For reference, i'm from new orleans and some venues have a 92dB limit. These readings are taken in 6 locations across the venue. They are okay with 98dB on the dance floor because every surrounding area is 84-92. So they are not an every-gig rig. For my big gigs(350 and over), 4 KLA's over 2(or 4) yorkville elite 18's. No venue too big or too small for that! Lol

How can I tell when I reach clip level ? I've noticed that I've set the gain at a db that take the gain bar on the display to the second row of bars, but nothing indicates when it at clip level.
