TurboTax 2022 Form 1040 - Enter Stock Gains and Losses

I landed here looking for something on wash sales, too. Turbotax used to import wash sales by logging into TD Ameritrade and downloading the data. Turbotax 2021 didn't do that, but I only had one wash sale, so it wasn't a big deal.

If u sold the stocks in 2022 wouldnt u file it in 2023?

The return would be for 2022, but he would file it in 2023.
