The frame looks excellent! I bet you're more than happy to have been able to sand blast it. It was good to see Kevin and Jeremy being part of the restoration of the CB500. I must say I'm also happy that I was able to help with the removal the engine from the frame. Not to much longer and she'll be back together and ready to ride. Good work my friend!

Yep.... It had to be blasted. It was the only way the frame would ever look new again. By mid week I "hope" to start the reassembly.

With the black frame has silver engine, I thought it would look nice. Some chrome castle nuts will finish them off.

Howard, you're doing high craft on a very worthy motorcycle! Those Honda 500 fours were the gold standard and respond well to restoration! That unit will run and look like new for many years to come! I love the personal touches like the polished edges on the exhaust flanges! Mega kudos!

I think it will be a nice early 70's custom bike that will be a lot of fun to ride. It's been fun to add little custom ad ons here and there too.

Looking fabulous. Sweet that had access to such a large blasting cabinet. I like the look of the exhaust flanges a lot. You are making more progress than I am on my '85 ZN1100. I am waiting for parts to arrive to undo error from a prior person's mistakes and resulting damage. Thank goodness for ebay. Once I confirm it runs (or not) I can ramp up the next steps.

I know how that goes.... I need to order a few items for this bike. The needed gaskets for the engine should arrive tomorrow.
