My father smoked two packs a day, Chesterfields. I hated riding in the car when he smoked, I remember getting car sick. I may have bladder cancer now as a result. This is an excellent video, thank you.

I don’t smoke,but have chewed tobacco for 30 plus years. I just had a TURBT removal done yesterday at the hospital. I had a 13mm tumor on my lower bladder wall removed and it was a quick successful surgery. I didn’t have to have a catheter or urine bag sent home with me,which was a big relief for me. I am only 44 years old and hoping that this tumor is benign and will not Come back. Waiting to hear from the pathologist on the testing from the tumor.

Thank you for this all inclusive video. I had a TURBT performed in June, 2021, the results showing that I had high grade, non invasive bladder carcinoma. I then went through a number of BCG procedures. As of now, all of my cystoscopes have been negative. I will have another at the end of this month. Hopefully, the news will be good. Again, thank you for your accurate explanation of the TURBT. BCAN has provided some very informative information as well.

I have been diagnosed with T1 high grade bladder cancer . I had the TURBT but will need additional scraping & BCG treatment. I'm very nervous & scared of the treatment & possible return of the cancer. I have stopped smoking several months ago but damage has been done. I had no idea smoking caused bladder cancer. I curse the day l ever smoked as l became addicted & smoked for many years. I'm hoping to get through this without reoccurring or any further cancer. 🙏

somehow find out if you are allergic to latex before TURBT. I had no idea, got a huge welt under the leg bag strap. Well, they also used a latex cath and it BURNED even after it was removed. Just had it done a second time, they used silicone and NO burning, didn't even really feel it in. Huge difference.

TURBT was a disaster. Friday was the procedure in morning and was sent home. With no medications. Friday afternoon I was bleeding constantly and then to hospital. 4hr wait and no Not admitted to hospital. Went home and called Sat morning, another 4 hr wait in emergency. Admitted for 4 days with constant blood clots. My doctor did not visit me once. After he admitted he was not aware of my 4 days in hospital.

I hope you've gotten that mess of a procedure straightened out. Holy smokes, I would have been balistic too. Going in for the TURBT later this week as they found a large mass in my bladder. Because of your experience, I'm going to make sure I am heard if I have an issue. Thanks and I hope you are doing better.

I can't imagine needing urgent surgery and having to sort out the payment for it before it can go ahead . America really needs to .look after its citizens better than this.
