There's nothing I love seeing more is when every player brings the auto-take best units (Karanak right now) and then proceeds to watch that hound get rocked by Tirion. I've always liked the HE characters, glad to see Tirion get a buff.

A high magic mage for tempest against flying demons and apotheosis for healing would probably work as your caster for this build.

Tyrion has his own heal though, plus he needed some damage to handle infantry. Maybe heal and morning wood life mage would work as a dual purpose one here

@@Dinawartotem Can't terror rout anyone, and his stats aren't good enough to duke it out with Karanak. And he doesnt have the survivability of Tyrion with the rebirth

​@@Aetherion_terror routing isn't really a factor vs a demon army anyway, but I'm pretty sure Stormwing causes terror? Still got the issue of losing to Karanak though, but at the same time he's a flying lord and gets to pick his engagements. Maybe he could goon out the lord of change.

I feel like High Magic might be a good fit for a build like this, you get the strong and long range apotheosis as needed and you could take soul quench as a single-entity burst damage ability. The passive skill of damage reduction for the army will help with value trading and with how the Chariots are gonna be roving around charging back-to-back, having fear active through the healing during a charge could help break an enemy's position. The extra ticking damage over time of Soul Quench can help with blue-fire chickens from feeling too comfy and keeping shields down to which would be handy. Very cool to see the chariots doing so well again, praise be to the Chariot Lords!!!

With chariots I always find that less is more.They just seem super susceptible to blocking each other and making microing more difficult.

I've tried the handmaiden in a few matchups and unfortunately never seen her do well. Just too expensive for what you get from the unit. Love to see Tyrion kicking ass though even if he did get the shameful "time to go home" exit.

I wonder how the Flamespyre Phoenix will do in this matchup. They are very fast(120!) and do both magic and fire damage(can reduce the amount of potential healing being done) with good AP. Good Leadership and decent health as well(Eagles are cheaper, but they break quite easily at 60 Leadership when focused). They have 40% resistance to fire and a 10% ward save if you have enough WoM banked, so they do not take a lot of damage from Blue Fire spell, Blue- and Pink Horrors, or the other fire damage units in the daemon roster(including Bloodletters). As far as I have seen, none of the Chaos Daemons have Fire Resistance either. At the same time, they have the bombardment ability which is good against infantry blobs and they have rebirth that might inflate their value. Maybe get an Archmage of Shadow on a Moon Dragon as your lord. Take Melkoth's(slow and damage vs infantry/furies) and Okkam's(massive damage boost and gives magic damage when needed). The Breath attack can take foes by surprise. For items, just take the Book of Hoeth, as you want to frontload your WoM anyway.

They would get manhandled by shriekers pretty badly i assume. Taking an air force fight against doc seems really hard with how strong furys are plus shriekers are also there

@@marcel-q1m Screamers just cant catch the Flamespyre Phoenix(85 speed vs 120) if the HE player has the micro. You fly in, bomb targets, get out, then bait the screamers into your archers. You have the speed advantage, so you have the initiative. The Screamers are also needed to deal with Reavers and Silverhelms, and they cant be everywhere at once. And if you instead get the drop on them, the phoenixes are also capable of dealing severe damage to them. So it is a game of cat and mouse. Furies are more troublesome(cheaper and faster), but they have lower leadership as well. The "problem" with all daemonic units is that if you can get them below 0, they quickly take massive damage(roughly 200 per second, except for very low entity units) and will rarely recover.

I don't like relying on just Blue Fire when I use the chicken. It's like bringing Bjuna but no Spirit Leech. Pink Fire followed up by a chicken dive can sweep the chaff away nicely (like those rangers), and Infernal Gateway can singlehandedly delete a whole blob if one happens to form at some point. It's nice to have options.

Great game! I love seeing chariots carve out a niche for themselves and these collision attacks seem to be helping them do so quite nicely. I always struggle to see much get done from their shooting, but that might just be because it's so low volume and spread out over a long time. Haven't seen any Spice Wars content in a while, I hope you make some more soon!

The Tiranoc Chariots have generally been the best Chariots for the HE they fire the arrows in melee, have decent speed, and don't cost that much. Honestly they are even really good in Campaign.

HE chariots! Awesome. (I have HE chariots in my 8th edition miniatures army.) You could put the HE caster on an eagle to avoid the good dog.

Handmaidens look so good on paper, but even buffed up in campaign they never have the impact of a noble.

Maybe it would've been handy to have a frostheart phoenix in the reinforcements instead of an eagle. with the magic attacks and slowdown effect, it gives a lot of agency against a faction with limited shooting like the demons. Keep the caster honest, rear-charging tattered units, etc.

So do you think the war chariots are the same to the war wagons of the empire or are they slightly better? Because, the units are played very similarly but I'm not sure if the armor piercing of the war wagons can do the same damage as the magic arrows of the chariots.

I really hope they give more chariots the increased model count treatment. Tiranocs would feel a lot better with 8-12 models, even if they had to slightly nerf their damage/health
