Skarbrand is one of those Lords I love to bring knowing he probably won't get his value's worth, which sucks. They seriously need to bring him down a few hundred gold for his price, and the exalted Bloodthirsty too. Speaking of Bloodthirster, I would've brought that instead of Skarbrand just for the shreer speed and power behind it. With the Bloodthirster ability (increase in speed and charge bonus) and the Carnage ability (increase in dmg and ap), the EB can reach 871 in damage with 119 speed, and being able to fly to top it off. Skarbrand has to work to get those number or go into enrage territory. And the Bloodthirster is better with the breath attack overall. The only real saving grace of Skarbrand is his enrage mechanic and the enrage bonus to his WS, but those are all pretty risky/obvious to a decent opponent.

You really can't bring anthing the size of a minautor at the start of the battle. As reinforcements they're perfect but early on the javelins just get free shots, first you deal with ranged units then you deal with frontline. Just go for cheap khorn marauders in front line and tons of dogs and axe cav, circle around and kill javelins, then bring minautors to clean up marauder champs / lords & giant Axe cav can get insane value if you keep even 10 alive they willuse the ammo of a full unit

this is interesting ive heard dogperson in the training discord say he likes wolfrik on a mammoth vs Khorne still surprised it worked though i feel like it wouldn't have if scarbrand was farming skulls because he would have owned the mammoth then.

As a rookie i'm a bit confused. I get marauders and CW are very cost effective, but since champs are so dominant why not just use bloodletters?

It was my first time doing khorne into norsca and since I had no idea how front line would go, I engaged and lost badly, which explains the huge early value lead. It's a good way to learn :P as a matter of fact, some daemons entered game 2 & 3 and results were different indeed!

@@thesandwitch-yq1rq it is a very interesting matchup because on paper the seem so similar, not quite the same but there is a lot of parity between the rosters. Must have been fun to feel out the matchup and see what works.

I believe it's because they are anti-armor which would trade poorly with regular marauders and be very vulnerable to missiles.

Idk if you've ever played online, but there is a giant and wulfrik nearby, which could potentially swarm skarbrand in return. The mage looks more like a bait. Gme was also atrociously laggy on my side, so if that's the only mistake you see on my part, I'll take that home, but I humbly think you missed a lot of other costly failures on my side

@@thesandwitch-yq1rq very cool game mate that's the most important, at least to us viewers xD From my perspective you lost because javelins shredded your minautors early, the rest of the game you played smart picking your fights. I litterally went for a walk in the parc this afternoon thinking "how would i deal with these javelins". The best i came up with : keep minautor in reserves, spam axe cav and fleshhounds to kills javelines while marauder champs are busy killing your own cheap marauders, then once you have some map control bring the minos and kill the marauder champs 1 by 1.
