@phillyandkeely2 жыл бұрын
Yep exactly! It's like the closer you get the faster your heart beats, it's like it senses it. Maybe they emit some sort of high frequency to put people on edge so it's easy to read the real criminals 😂😂😂

Does the insurance affects your duration of stay in Turkey right now? Or if you're in, then it's all done and you don't need to get a new one which covers the whole duration of your stay in Turkey?
@phillyandkeely2 жыл бұрын
We are allowed in the full 90 but our van is only allowed to drive until 31st lol. I think legally we should leave on the 31st December, but we are hoping to convince our own insurance company to extend it by two weeks and pay extra (alot extra 😂) and then when we get back to the border we can show them our new extended green card. If any police stopped us after the 31st I think we would be in a lot of trouble if we were driving without insurance and when we get back to the border after our date that would be bad news, but if we can get new documents to show more insurance I think it would be ok

@@phillyandkeely thanks im doing this trip to turkey for medical stuff and will go a slightly different route as I hate flying n have a day van thing ...but did not understand what stuff to prep for borders with various insurance and covid restrictions ...would have thought the Irish passport would be ideal for you guys as it aint limited to 90 days as they are in Europe - I have both ...might throw uk one in bin actually - any tips on insurance in turkey were to buy and all the things you need would be useful to me? Packing my guitar and poetry book cant wait for my adventure to start - would like to visit cyprus too...might wait it out whilst this new covid stuff passes ...its never ending this shit ...thanks ....great channel love u guys
@phillyandkeely2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we applied for our Irish passports long time ago but thanks to lockdowns they closed and didn't process passports until recently, so mine has finally arrived but Philly's is not here. Haha might aswell throw UK one in the bin! As for insurance, if you arrive during the day you can buy third party insurance at the border to cover your van for three months. As for covid stuff, I would say don't wait. Last year we seen a small window of opportunity to get out before they started locking things down again and I am so glad we escaped lol. We did look at going to Cyprus while we were over there, but they seemed super strict with covid restrictions and various things so we couldn't be bothered risking issues at boarding after buying expensive ferry tickets. Fingers crossed things have mellowed everywhere, but who knows if that will change again. Get out while you can lol.

@@phillyandkeely well have a few things on first but im going for medical stuff (divorce re build) - I might not even come back - the only reason I would is I have cats ...n cant take them with me I dont think? I should have married a nutty irish girl myself they nag a bit take no crap are genrally more loyal n so much so they never let you go...ha ha ...Anyway I'm leaving it a bit as all restrictions for new variants coming on n I want to go Turkey/Cyprus I am waiting for next new jab hopefully all goes well and it calmes down in a few months....Dangers are I will come back looking like Bradd Pitt and they will look at my passport coming back n not let me thro ...ps loved how you shit it going thro borders even though everything is legal ... unless you got some personal hash stash lol ...you two are too cool ...rock climbing is so scary ...Im scared of heights so I never fly i bet you'd both love paragliding - or some stuff ...you should get one of them get some cool footage for your blogs or a drone ...

Problem with that borders is not when you go from Serbia to Turkey ..is when you go from Turkey because Tyrkey is much chepaer so many people buy stuff there and also migrants go from Turkey via Bulgaria and Serbia . Also in summer is crazy there with hours off waiting and i fell like Bulgarian customs for some reason always make thinkgs worster ,like they dont want you to go try Bulgaria ..when i was returing from Greece last summer i got my Caravan toalet door broken by Buglarian custom ..he was so rude..i wanted to come with him in my Caravan but he did sad me to stay out ,and when he finaly left my caravan i find broken toalet door and stuff all over the place ,i was so piss off and then when i finaly start to drive another Bulgarian custom officer stop me just 50 meteres after and i was in fury and start even to scream on him that i would never ever go anytime try Buglaria...they also give me a ticket off 38 euros for vignnete even i had one that was valid but they sad i did not buy imediely ..i buyed like few hours after entered Bulgaria some 30 km from border there was just one place on border and there was huge line so buy on next gas station...but they still gave me a ticket even i had valid vigneete. But if you live in Serbia its just imposible to not go try Bulgaria... i went to Istanbul 2 times last 2 months and ever time there was issue with Bulgarian customs when we were returning ..i think only think that is worster off Serbian custom officers are Bulgarian custom officers..i know that is many smuglers and that route and mogrants but when you see that someone is with family they still act as you are some criminal
@phillyandkeely2 жыл бұрын
Wow I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience at the border that sounds terrible. Those types of experiences are so distressing, and so frustrating when they are clearly in the wrong and just being harsh for the sake of it. It will be interesting to see if the take the same route back while it be much worse in the opposite direction, it sounds like it will. Thankyou so much for watching and sharing your experience so people are aware of things to expect.

@@phillyandkeely What piss me off is that is just matter off luck ..some will juss pass you and some will be rude ..and borders are shame off humanity in 21 century when is all digitized

Yeah so true, it all depends on the mood of the person you meet at the border
@RositsaPetrovarjp72 жыл бұрын
Well that border crossing is the biggest drug smuggling, human trafficking, smuggling and what not point in Europe. Serbian borders are no better. Try Serbia, Bosnia. Good luck if you complai. Customs officials can and will, if you are rude to them,check everything
@RositsaPetrovarjp72 жыл бұрын
If you live in Bulgaria and travel West, it is impossible not to go through Serbia. I can recount countless horrors stories of Serbian border officials and customs. Stop complaining and get a life. You are no better
