Turks have their own dances in each region, and the richness of Turkish Folklore comes from here. That's why we are a big state, even if the area we live in is small, our wealth and greatness come from here. Every dance has a historical past. That's why people living in the Turkish state are called Turks.

This is a Pontic Greek dance though. Danced by all Pontic Greeks all over the world including the islamised Pontic Greeks who had to proclaim that they are turks to remain in their homeland in Pontus in the Black sea following the Pontic Greek genocide from neoturks+Ataturk in 1919

Horon dance is of Laz/Georgian. It descends from South Caucasus. And the Pontic Greeks are Hellenized Lazes, Armenians, Turcomans etc. They speak the so called Pontic dialect, some speak Laz( not many of them). Muslim Lazians speak the South Caucasian language or dialect even today. It is an endangered idiom. They are not Islamized Greeks. The modern Greek identity is based on being Christian and it is the Greek constitution.

DNA has zero importance. We are Turkish, Turkic and Turkish are different. If we bring the DNA to the table, I wonder how many Greeks have the pure Greek DNA and not Balkan, Italian, Iranian or Anatolian etc. If you say that's what created the Greek people, congrats. DNA has zero importance. We are all a gene soup. What important is the identity, feelings and history. In addition, just as the Anatolian lands became Greek after the collapse of ancient Anatolia, they also became Turkish. You can cry about it.

I watched the greek horon, which you call the so-called greek dance and try to imitate us, and it was so terrible that I can't explain it! Turkish means "Turkey". The people of Turkey are called "Turks" and it is obvious that the origin of this dance is Turkey. The fact that its name is Greek doesn't mean anything, it is the dance of the Laz people living in Turkey and if it were of Greek origin, the Greeks would be able to dance horon a little, but you have a completely inexperienced and very bad horon dance and horon does not suit you at all. All of our horons are very beautiful and suit us.
