I used to live in Al Qamishli, Syria, which is not far from Mardin. When I was younger, like 6-7 years old, One of my friend used to tell tales of how beautiful and mystical Mardin was. I went 12 years later and boy, it is fantastic!

I'm watching a Turkish soap opera (translated to Spanish) here in Puerto Rico and it takes place in Mardin, Turkey. I love that I get to see such interesting background, houses, mansions, people, culture, etc of Mardin. We can find information about the Apostol Paul's visits to Turkey.

Lovely film. I was in Mardin 14 months ago making a series for Nat Geo (covering the trading routes from Ani/Kars, all the way to Istanbul). Mardin was one of the highlights for me. Mardin is an Iraqi city annexed by Turkey after World War I, and all of these cities around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers contain Assyrians, Syrians, Arabs, Kurds, Armenians, and later Turks, Jews, Christians, Muslims and Yazidis, most of the inhabitants of these areas originating from Mosul in northern Iraq.
