I am a stong opponent of Erdogan. I even joined those Gezi protests as a university student myself. My friend lost his eye on the police terror in those protests. And it is 100% true that Can Dundar was politically sentenced. He did not deserve any of these for doing what his job, journalism. But having said that, the issue with PKK terrorists in Sweden and Finland is completely different. This is a terror organization that killed over 50 thousand people in Turkey, had more terrorist attacks in Turkey than entire Europe continent combined. It has nothing to do with their Kurdish ethnicity as well, quarter of people in Turkey are Kurdish, but they are not a member of PKK. PKK is armed by some countries, even some allies. We know it because their leader was caught up in Africa by Turkish forces with EU (Greek) passport... Of course I have no doubt in my mind that, while trying to capture those PKK terrorists in Finland and Sweden, Erdogan would definitely try to abuse these deals to get his political enemies from those countries as well. He will try to get people that are not actually terrorists, but just political opposition to Erdogan that had to run away due to crooked judiciary system in Turkey. EU countries should be cooperative with giving the PKK terrorists, but they should not give people who just politically oppose to Erdogan and were sentenced completely politically. But I also understand Can Dundar's position here. He was extremely mistreated by Erdogan's government and now have it hard to objectively differentiate between two situations I mentioned above. I hope the next election we will vote for a new leftist party, and I am hoping that they will pardon all these politically sentenced people and only go after the actual terrorists. Soon I hope...

It is not a very reliable source. He fled abroad when a lawsuit was filed against him for being used as a pawn in a disclosure project organized by the CIA. He realized that he was being used as well, but it was too late, he is a good person but quite naive, he is mostly known for his documentary works in Turkey but his political analyzes are superficial. now he has to make a living and as an oriental it is not easy to continue journalism in Europe, in any case he has to meet the orientalist and marginalizing expectations of Europe regarding Turkey. If he had said something contrary to expectations, would France24 channel interview him, for example, if he had said something like this: In the past 25 years, fair elections have been held in all elections in Turkey approved by foreign independent observers and independent observers of all parties, this year's elections will be as usual. how was that sound, the interviewer face would be pretty sad, right? The campaign to smear Erdogan has been going on for a long time in the western media, which is under the control of the USA, because turkey has spoiled the middle east plans of the USA. In 2016, the military generals of the secret radical religious organization FETÖ, which was the gladio organization of CIA during the cold war, attempted a military coup. Millions of civilians took to the streets to oppose the military to protect democracy, hundreds were killed by soldiers and tanks, parliament was bombed by helicopters. When the coup failed, the organizing officers fled abroad. Europe, the cradle of democracy, still protects these murderer generals and does not return them to Turkey. CIA extensions of the USA were cleared from the Turkish government. but turkey paid the price for this, the usa has established military bases on the turkey border and deployed thousands of military equipment here, imposed a military embargo on turkey, froze the plane order for which it received 1.5 billion dollars prepayment, did not give the money back, the usa is the biggest thief, the USA put pressure on the EU and the EU also imposed an embargo on Turkey. Turkey developed its own defense industry under the US blockade, Erdogan was subjected to many assassination attempts that were not disclosed to the public, the USA gave thousands of military equipment to the Kurdish terrorist groups PKK and YPG against Turkey, etc. The price of being independent from the USA is heavy in the world, even Germany does not dare to do this, but Turkey has succeeded. For example, Germany had to remain silent about the bomb sabotage of the US gas pipeline.

Surprised that Ukraine is short of ad missiles. Russia is using cheap drones, and the missiles are very expensive with even the supposed low end Stinger being 112k per missile, and air defence guns just are too limited to be effective against nap of the earth drones and cruise missiles. The Gepard has a range of 4 km, but that assumes that they can actually see the target. NATO was probably only prepared with enough missiles to use against airplanes and helicopters, and trying to take out drones is just not economically a winning situation. And the high end American Patriot missiles are already over-committed, so Americans are supplying the antique Hawk systems that have not had an upgrade in about 3 decades, and not a major upgrade. And these missiles just add to the destruction when they crashes back to earch.

I am an opponent of Erdogan, but unfortunately Can Dündar deliberately misrepresents Turkiye's rightful stance against the terrorist PKK. The number of people in the country who think like him is not even 1%. We all agree with the current administration on the extradition of terrorists from Sweden. Unfortunately, Can Dündar is strengthening Erdoğan's hand by making statements in support of the extradited PKK terrorists. By the way, while you pronounce "Cumhuriyet" correctly, pronouncing "Türkiye" as "Turkey" clearly shows your Turkophobia. And before I forget, the image that we Turks have when we think of France is genocide and theft.

The problem is that in a state where the rule of law prevails, you cannot simply classify someone as a terrorist and arrest (or extradite) them, even if they express their support for a terrorist organization like PKK with symbols or by speaking out. There must be at least the intention or plan to commit a terrorist attack. Things like that are only possible in our banana republic Turkey, where there is no rule of law at all. The fact that there are countries that are not banana republics that follow the rule of law is something that most Turks just can't get their heads around because they don't know any different I suppose. Btw I as a Turk also refuse to use "Türkiye". I will always call it Turkey, because what Erdogan is trying to do is nothing else, but to leave a footprint as big in history while trying to eliminate everything as far as possible that is associated to Atatürk, which I call Erdogan's „Atatürk-Inferiority-Complex".
