First my heart felt condolences to the victims and to the Turkish people in general. But I have to say this. The reporter didn't mention Indian plane loads of help, rescue workers armed with heavy equipments and rescue sneepper dogs. Turkish ambassador thanked India for the swift response. But it's DW so I am not surprised. DW's anti India stand remains intact despite the piles of rubbles in this report.

Sweden and Finnland want to support regardless of conflicts, this is altruism of Scandinavia. If I were the Swedish prime minister, I would never approve of any help because Turkey doesn't want Sweden to join NATO because some thousand years old books got burned by a radical and accused of sheltering Kurdish rebels. Turkey moved 3 meters. The Arabian Plate moved about 3 meters in a northeasterly direction and in a southwesterly direction along Reaktion to the Anatolian plate. (Normally after strong earthquakes, the plat can move 3-30cm. A part of a city is now covered in ocean sea.

But as a regular citizen, I can help international rescue and humanitarian aid that can help within the country of Syria. I know it's insensitive, but now is the best time to play the blame game. If building standards in Turkey were dropped - probably to cut costs - and the risk of earthquakes was ignored, then whoever made that decision needs to be put in chains. Right now. The outpouring support to Turkey from its NATO country and EU members is outstanding. Rescuers, financial, and medical aide activated instantly. This is one of the many reasons why many countries join the pack. If Finland and Sweden sworn in as new NATO members these 2 countries along other allied countries will financially help more even if they have already. This is going to be a tail of 2 countries Turkey a NATO member versus Syria a non NATO Country and a designated state sponsor of terrorism groups. Both Turkey and Syria are badly hit by this calamity but I’m deeply saddened that not many rescuers can help Syria, and many countries are hesitant to give financial aide for fear that terror group will use that financial aide to better arm themselves instead of giving them to the quake victims. My Sincerest sympathy to the victims family. 💐 🤲 🙏🏼
