Nice video. It seems you weren't very lucky with the Covid influenced service. I hope I'll have more luch during my trip to Denpasar in Summer. The Philippines are definately on my bucketlist too.

Thanks for sharing your review! It’s a shame that they don’t have pillows and the food presentation is by far sad… We are flying Turkish Business next April 2022 hope to get better service.

Making one wear a face shield as well as a mask is uncomfortable and given what many suggest is Omicron is not overly serious for those under 70/75 (the South African female medico who discovered it has been told to keep quiet about that, allowing governments to scaremonger), another example of bureaucratic overreach. Very good that you highlighted a mattress topper as compared to comfortable rail sleeping berths, a gripe with airlines' business class is those annoying 'joins' between the bed's sections. Interesting that you didn't mention Philippine Airlines' 'beds' on its Airbus A330-300s (on which I've flown from Melbourne or Sydney pre-COVID) and some other widebodied aircraft are wider than these TK ones. (But not the PR 7777-300ERs, which are seven across in J). The food on PR seems way better than what you received on this TK flight. A poor lack of choice with Turkish Airlines and way below what its website suggests. How busy was it in J (business) and Y (economy) classes? It's a cheapie carrier offering J returns Manila to say London (with the opportunity to 'open jaw', returning from a European city) for about US$1900 return, which despite the disappointing food and relatively poor MNL lounge seems quite good value. I decline to patronise Qatar due to its disgusting treatment of staff, but it claims to be 'the world's best airline' (though most would give that title to Singapore Airlines) and so while you didn't film it well or extensively, the Qatar Airways 'lounge' in MNL T3 looked average at best. I've used the previous Istanbul Airport (Ataturk) but not this new one. The latter is criticised for huge walking distances: even though there are some travelators, why didn't the Turks install a train as at Singapore Changi and quite a few other airports worldwide? Your video overall was very good but harder to hear you with a mask on while you were walking, and some of the shots of the menu you took were blurred. But it's difficult to position menus sufficiently far from a camera when you're filming sitting even in a business class seat.

Hi. Thanks for watching. You may check w your airline but as far as I know Saudi Arabia and Turkey are not on the Philippine red list.

“Ok but didn’t exceed my expectations” - you’ve been to so nice flights already, high expectations hehe
@GoExploresTheWorld3 жыл бұрын
It’s supposed to be a premium airline and it’s premium product and they market it as such so yes the expectation is high. Thanks for watching
@MrJST943 жыл бұрын
The hard product does seem very nice. Very sad that the food was so disappointing. Turkish used to be known for the best food in the skies. Does anyone know when they will go back to the 'normal' catering?
@GoExploresTheWorld3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching. I’ll be releasing the return flight soon and the catering improved. I’m not sure if it’s due to flying out of IST or if they are returning to precovid service.

you can't compare Turkish to qatar when its half the price!!!I think you are a bit precious!
@GoExploresTheWorld2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I take Qatar and Turkish is 30% to 50% more so I do expect at least equal service. We did take a great domestic Turkish Airlines flight which we reviewed in a later episode so it’s not all doom and gloom. Thanks for watching.
