As a family of three, this arrangement is perfect for us, having our 4,5 yo son sitting between us and being able to have direct access to him. If it was the suites arrangement, we would fly Economy for our 1hr + 10hr flight next week.

I am in 2 minds about this product. The new "suites' are super tight - and the new beds are not what they used to be. How was the mattress firmness? I would much rather have a super comfortable seat than a silly door any day.

If you're traveling with someone, this cabin is far superior over their new one in A350/787 Long Haul. The new product is too small and difficult to sleep in, whereas this one is so spacious! But yeah, it's rather old. The A330 seats despite being the "same" as the 777, are actually smaller (I flew on both back to back last year on route to Maldives). Would love to try the A350 short haul product though.

I agree with you! This would be most superior if travelling with a friend, even more so than the Apex since its closer and more intimate :) The a350's are a blast sometimes they operate domestically I believe.

I actually enjoyed this seat even though I sat next to a stranger. Comfy seat, fairly roomy for me, and long enough to sleep comfortably.

Hey so, if you have a connecting flight that is in 12 hours you can't use the private suites in the lounge? (because you wrote your connecting flight must be between 4 to 9 hours)

To my understanding thats correct. It seems people with longer than 9hours of transfers would be allowed to use one of the day beds and the showers though..

Quite disappointed with business class on this route. It's almost the same configuration as the old Lufthansa and Philippine Airlines business class seating. No privacy which you pay for. Other long haul routes to IST had the cocoon-like seating arrangement especially for the middle row. Why they don't change the aircraft type servicing SFO-IST and vice versa is beyond me. Turkish Airlines doesn't have premium economomy seats like other major airlines following this trend. Seems to me like they're leaving money on the table for passengers who want to upgrade to premium who have the means to do so. Oh well...

There’s no offical definition for “business class” dude… business class is whatever the airline wants it to be. If you want 1-2-1 you’re more than welcome to pay another 2k+ for it, or over double the price for emirates. Turkish is fairly priced for the product they provide. You’re just being silly, not every airline is trying to provide a 10k service…

Thank you very much for the insights. I refused to go with Turkish because I've heard from many travellers that they have rude staff and poor service. It seems that this has changed quiet alot! After Covid, Turkish seems to be the only airline with fair business prices. I used to fly KLM, Air France and Lufthansa, sometimes Swiss, but all of them now introduced "Business Light" or "Business saver" categories, where you no longer allowed to visit the business lounge and have some other nasty cuts of service like no included luggage or miles! Of course they raised their rates by at least 20%! This is just ridiculous and I won't support this. Business flight without Lounge and with no miles? This is not business any more. I will check out other airlines as well, as long as they have a fair price tag and deliver what was announced. Good bye greedy Airlines.

1. It's kind of a flex, but many KZbinrs also show economy 2. It's a business expense that you can put on your tax declaration 3. If you fly frequently you earn miles and can upgrade to business 4. If my company sends me abroad for business trips, I fly business.

your flight TO Istanbul has to be over 8 hours to qualify for the suite. I had a 4 hour flight to Istanbul with an 11 hour layover....and DID NOT qualify for the shower suite ..... SHAME on Turkish Airlines for this!
