In warm and tropical climates, sweating leads to a drop in sodium levels, which is why salty drinks are commonly consumed. In contrast, in colder regions, sugary drinks take precedence as they help maintain body warmth. Salty beverages hold great importance in countries like Mexico, Turkey, the Middle East, and parts of Asia. Explaining drinks like ayran (a salty yogurt-based drink) or pickle juice to someone from the West can be quite challenging. However, if you visit Mexico, you'll notice not only are their drinks salty, but they even sprinkle salt on watermelon-it’s almost a necessity there. Istanbul is a touristic city, but compared to its population of 15 million residents, tourists seem quite insignificant. It shouldn't be assumed that everything in the city is designed for tourists.

We dont drink ayran plain. With meat - döner - kebab etc. it goes savory and refreshing. Also real tea enjoyers dont use sugar 😂❤ I didnt finish the whole video rn but you have to try İskender kebab.

If you put a little amount of mineral water into the ayran, it becomes more and more delicious

You dont need any sauce with your döner, because you have Ayran. You take one bite and than a sip to make everything juicy. We also have the most juicy and tasty tomatos. So the kebaps are never dry and you dont need a sauce.

For Ayran, I recommend you try ayran and simit. The simit should be ‘çıtır’ simit. Its the best way to snack…

Fun fact about döner: even Mexicans got döner similar food, probably also bread (drüm) from the Ottoman Empire.

I like how you explain that Döner Kebab originates from Turkey. Some mental people want forcefully make people believe its german, which is total nonsense and pure propaganda. It would be like claiming pizza is british because you ate it in London.

If you are only going to visit Istanbul you have to eat Döner at Bayramoğlu in Beykoz. Really incredible taste of meat and unforgetable experience.

The sugar amount in tea is just personal. I used to use at least 3 cubes in a smaller glass u used in the video and couldn't even stand the bitterness of tea without sugar. Now, I can only drink without sugar and any sugar in my tea makes me wanna vomit the moment I taste. So, try it and decide yourself, don't feel like you have to follow the habbits majority of the locals do. Enjoy your trip :)

2:57 Since the 90's trash cans are removed from highly populated areas because of terrorists planting bombs in them. You can find trash containers in alleyways or you can just ask stores to take your trash.

Dondurmacılar keşke bu kadar fazla abartmasalar. Tamam her şey güzel hoş ama her izlediğimde bir iki adım fazla ileri gitmeleri beni sinirlendiriyor. Sen kim oluyorsun eşinin yanında bayanın dondurmayı ağzına götürüyorsun lan şaklaban, dayak yesen orada seni savunmam.
