Ryu's ending in this game is very similar to the ending in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Because in that movie, Ken leaves him on the road at Ryu's request, and Ryu journey's down the road. Only thing this is missing is Bison coming at him in the truck.

GGPO is an emulator that let's you play arcade games online with other players. It's pretty awesome since many people play the original SF2 up to SF3 Third Strike games.

I still don't get why people hate on this game, just because it's the first game in the series doesn't mean it's bad. It's just old, I played it on an emulator a couple times, I thought it was ok. Maybe it's because of 3rd Strike's hype surrounding it. 🤔

People were just butthurt there wasn’t more SF2 characters at the time IMO. By the time 3rd Strike rolled around people couldn’t deny the gameplay any longer even if they didn’t like the roster.
