Turks cap makes a beautiful hedge in apartments and condos. It allows for full cut back in the fall for wall repairs.

Turkscap is pretty tough. It will go dormant in the winter but should come back in the spring. Happy Gardening!

At the moment, I'm currently failing to manage an 8ft wide turk's cap. I'll probably just let it do it's own thing.

Hi Rick they sure look like mini hibiscus ... wondering how you've managed to selected the titles of your sections on your home page? Thought I had your email but apparently not, thanks kate

Hi Kate! Great to hear from you. The names of each section just seemed to be some natural categories that fit my content. I'll need to get into KZbin Studio and check my notes if you want to know how to put section titles into your home page. Send me an email.

Thanks for the video! How many separate plants is that? I just bought one but will it fill out or just stay one tallish plant?
@TheHowDoGardener

Glad you liked the video. Not sure how many plants I have, but I'd say mine cover about a 2 foot diameter circle each. But, they spread out kind of like fingers and overlap each other. Happy Gardening!

Question have you ever taken turks cap from cuttings. Any advise or pointers.
@TheHowDoGardener
@TheHowDoGardener 2 жыл бұрын
Turk's cap is propagated easily from softwood cuttings. These cuttings should be 4-6 inches long with leaves from the bottom halves removed and treated with rooting hormone. Large clumps of Turk's cap may easily be separated in early spring and transplanted to a new site. Be sure to water well.
