@Holg-uw1hk3 жыл бұрын
@@betweenshifts3751 He used whats called the pen tool to isolate the elephants head, and made a new layer with the head only. Then he he took the picture of the package and used the tool called "content aware fill" to make Photoshop automaticly fill out the space where the elephants head where before. He then took in the picture of the package without the elephant head, and the picture of the elephants head as two different things, and put them back in his Final cut and anitmated them.✌️

I think the biggest challenge with this kind of content is the creativity. Daniel, you are clearly very creative, and it's easy to look at this and be like "Yeah that makes sense, sure I can do that", but that's only to understand that what you did was good and to copy you. But to create unique concepts is really hard in my opinion, and that's where most people will get stuck.

This is a wonderful tutorial! One suggestion: I’d love to hear some kind of ball park figure that an average brand might pay for this. You say lucrative but is this a $250 job or $1500? Lucrative is relative so it would help to know just how much we can charge for a skill like this.
@danielschiffer3 жыл бұрын
I'll probably do an updated video on charging clients/brands at some point but here's what I'll say for now since a lot of people are going to ask this. Price will vary drastically depending on: 1. Where you live, where your client is based, and currency 2. The client (industry, location, size, budget) 3. Your own reputation & portfolio 4. Negotiating (bundling, time, even time of year can have an impact if the brand needs the work urgently for a holiday campaign) You pretty much hit the nail on the head with prices you mentioned. Work like this, if you are less experienced, can go for as little as ~$250 or as much as ~$2500+ if you are more experienced. I would rarely offer a video like this as a standalone for a client; with this kind of work I would prefer to pitch them on a minimum of 3 videos or 1 per flavour of product if they have multiple flavours. A better way to look at it is that you could package 3 of these videos to a brand for anywhere between $750 - $5K, again depending on a lot of factors. Another HUGE factor people forget is that the budget a brand pays you will often reflect the relationship they have with you and how much they enjoy working with you. The final result is the most important thing, but it is meaningless to brands if they find working with someone unpleasant or tedious. It's important to be flexible, and understanding, if you want to pull larger budgets. The reason I use the word 'lucrative' to describe this kind of content is because the upfront cost/time to make it is so minimal relative to what you can charge a client for this kind of thing. Hope this helps.

Check out the channel @The_Futur for some pricing strategies. Essentially the advice they give is to charge relative to the value you create. How much profit do they expect to bring in from your work? Charge around 10% of that. There are some other factors to consider, such as positioning yourself as an expert, but the gist is getting paid relative to the project value to the client. If they give you $10 and you'll give them $100, then it should be a no-brainer, even if some extra zeroes are attached to those numbers.
