I'm going to make a couple. I was confused on why you made the halos separate but I see they are tilted.

What a lovely ornament. Thanks so much for re-posting it. My daughter has a Christmas shop so I can see dad being asked to make some when I show her this video. Thanks again.

Great update Mike, I watched the original years back and made angels for that year's Ornament. One change to process I found was to hollow the body to reduce the weight, I made them from Oak and found the solid body was a bit heavy. Thanks for the inspiration and tip on end grain gluing, I now always use a coat of glue as sizing on the head before adding the halos.

Mike, I had watched your original video and it inspired me to make one of these angel ornaments, but for various reasons, I never actually got around to making one. This time I promise to try harder to follow up on the inspiration that you have provided all over again! :)

Thanks for the refresher Mike. I was planning on making some of those but totally forgot about them. Preparing for my first craft fair and want a lot of ornaments. I don't have lots of nice 2x2 squares but I have LOTS of limbs I can use. :D

Made my first angel this evening. My wings are a little small ( I started removing too much waste before making wings) and didn't line up the grain very well on the sander. I watched the video again and I'll try again tomorrow after church. At least my wife could tell what it was when I came in and showed her! Thank you sir for your videos. :)

Mike, I would like to take this project and make it into a bell also, but I think it would be a challenge to hold in my chuck. So I have 2 months to figure it out for our church ornament exchange party. Thanks, Jeff Robinson

Some folks say they hollow out to make lighter. Reverse the turning so head is toward the tailstock. If you are going to glue the Halo as I do, no need to jam chuck to finish the head. Watch the handbell ornament video.
