It was so so long ago, that I can't remember who or if I got it from someone. Back then, I was more into the work of Kay Laurence, Mary Ray, and Richard Curtis, but not sure if I got this from them. It was at least 6 years ago. I never said I invented it...

I guess I have been through a lot with my dogs in the last 6 years, so it feels like a long time. The dog in this video needed emergency herniated disc surgery 4 years ago. Since that surgery he has had 2 more back surgeries and one of the dogs in this video has crossed the rainbow bridge. So, it feels like a long time... :(

@@Pamsdogacademy yes in dog years or cat years it's a few decades. For me I go back to the 70s with dog training so you can see I got the Redwood view of 6 years

How can I train my dog to come when she is running around with other dogs? I've trained her really well with food and the ecollar. She is having to much fun and ignores the buzz or even the shock!!

Johnnycake Blaa I would re-train her recall and not use punishment. You want her to come to you because it is fun and rewarding to come to you. I would work on recalls when around lower level distractions tons before trying a recall around an exciting dog. I would set up training situations where you work with another dog owner and do call away recalls on leash first. Good luck! Throw away the shock collar! Clicker training will help you build a wonderful connection with your dog without ever having to punish. Hang in there. I also offer a online recall class that would really help teach you how to train your dog to have an amazing recall (all force free). www.pamsdogtraining.com Take care, Pam

How do you train your dog to turn and face away from you? I can lure my dog to go just about anywhere but she always turns around to face me because that’s where the food is...

Rewarding in position will help. So, if she turns towards you, lure her back into the position and then feed her in the position that you want her in. If you feed her for turning back to you, you will only get more turning back to you. Good luck!

With this dog in the video, I used a hand target and used a platform to keep him in the proper spot. With one of my other dogs, I used a target stick and a platform...
