Crayons draw on the table and then you have to scrub it and wash it and dry it to erase a mistake, while the fancy machine allows you to draw and erase without having to clean the surface ur drawing on. Smart Board and this are two different things. Smart Board requires a projector to project the screen onto it, but all the touch stuff happens with on the board. This here projects on everything, not requiring touch detection on the surface itself

If you're trying do draw on that you're going to be VERY disappointed and not because of the input lag, but because it has one level of pressure sensitivity. Using that is comparable to using a Cintiq for MS Paint. Get Photoshop/Clipstudio Paint (Previously known as Manga Studio 5) if you don't have one or the other and a Surface. The Surface Pro 2 has Wacom Tech, decent battery and a processor that'll handle most any program you throw at it with as many layers as you need, you can find them for the same price as this as well (Roughly 300-600 USD) on eBay and sometimes Amazon. Are you sure? It says it's a 1080p projection, and all the reviews I have seen say it's not really laggy. Plus at $322 I doubt you'll find another 1080p projector even near that price.
