I have to say you are such an amazing barrel racer. Your one of the best I've seen, not crazy kicking or whiping. You guys look like an amazing team. You should be a pro barrel racer like the ones on TV. You guys are just amazing!

I love your way of riding! No excessive whipping or kicking! That's great so many people think you have to whip your horse.
@nataliemalone22718 жыл бұрын
Amazed Equine it all depends on how your horse acts sometimes but I agree with u her riding is great
@equinehalle72518 жыл бұрын
Natalie Malone I don't think it matters lol I've never used a whip on my horse and she goes faster than most barrel horses in my area. I'm a strong believer of whips make your horse slower
@nataliemalone22718 жыл бұрын
Amazed Equine It depends on he horse cause most the horses I do rodeos and gymkhanas with whips make them go a lot faster and there's a,out of girls at the place i go to for gymkhana that get 17-16 seconds and it's amazing but without a whip or Spurs there horses r just stubborn and get about 27seconds just to get around the second barrel because they don't wanna go cause the can't feel u kicking them without Spurs, everyone has there own opinion and knows what works best for there spesific horse or horses but that doesn't mean it works for all horses I have my opinion and u have yours lets just leave it at that

Yeah the horn makes a great oh shit! Handle but that's about it. I don't grab the horn either and sometimes it's hard not to and stay balanced. She does a great job of making it look easy. I agree with you.

@StayingFast10 жыл бұрын
Cassidy Rose There are so many misconceptions about the horn. It is not only for those that need something to hold on to, but for those who want to get off their horses mouth when they turn. If you can stay out of your horses way, then the turn will be faster as you can't catch their face. Younger horses need two hands to guide them, but experienced horses do not. And you can always get out of your horses way more by grabbing it on the turns. No matter how much one thinks they can stay out of their horses way with two, it will be even better with one.
@cassidyrose210 жыл бұрын
Is not about staying out of your horse's way, it's about helping a horse out and guiding him/her using your body and your legs. I don't use the horn even if I only use one hand personally. But its never about staying out of your horse's way, it's about being a team and working together and connecting with the horse and guiding him or her. That is why do ride in the first place right? To be one with a beautiful and powerful horse. Not to stay out of his or her way and to just hang on, that's pointless. It's about the friendship and connection between you and your horse. It's not enough to just have a fast horse. You've got to get to know the horse and guide him or her. Never stay out of his or her way. That is where we disagree.
@StayingFast10 жыл бұрын
Like I said, you only need to direct and guide a younger horse. If you still have to do that do a finished horse, well then you certainly haven't done a good training job.

I'm bot being harsh at all and personally I think your a greAt rider but I think if you did more slow work on moving his/her butt into the barrel and making her work of her but more then you wouldn't have to pull her off the barrel because I get that your trying not to Knock it but uts actually slowing your tune down when you pull off and can can sometimes cause them to start shouldering. I had that exact same issue and know my tune improved by a while second by getting out of that habit and working more on fence work, roll backs,etc. but your an awesome rider and don't rude harsh at all!;)
