Is the combo cancelling as good as NGNT 4 ?

It's similar. Same button and all that, but Special is a bit more well-rounded. In 4, cancelling was inconsistent. Some up b's, back b's and jump b's could be cancelled, some can't like Kimimaro and Shino's back B and a few character up B's. Gaara can't cancel his sand trick (during combo or if only using up A) either. In Special, cancelling is pretty uniform--as long as your character is grounded, the move can be cancelled, despite the timing being very specific for a good dozen of the roster (Anbu Kakashi, Sakura--with some standard combos and back B, Sai, Jiraiya, Hinata, Kakuzu, Minato, Sasori, Killer Bee, Yugao, Yamato, Kurenai, Sasuke, and Ino being the worst offender). Chakra gain after cancelling is also different in Special. It's much more of an issue in 4. In Special, it's relative to the move performed after cancelling which allows a few characters to cancel and then link a jutsu-combo quickly(Kakuzu, Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura in EX 2-3 only).

It's a given that some characters will be better than others in a fighting game. I'm just explaining how the cancelling properties in Special work compared to 4. The Gamecube controller works with every title and version of this game. In Special, it is now standard for every controller option to add extra damage during special jutsu (X) by completing the correct on-screen movement prompts, probably to balance the game. This was originally Wii Remote+Nunchuk exclusive. Hand signs were also removed in order to make every controller option balanced. The Classic Controller utilizes the bottom sticks while the Gamecube controller utilizes the Control and C-Stick during the jutsu.

Hello there. I've seen you before... Yes, I indeed own all of the Gekitou Ninja Taisen games. I know people like to use emulators for Wii stuff but that's never been me.

D'onte Graves yes I know I’ve talked to you, I’d like to talk more about this series with you sense while yes I do use emulators sense the quality looks better, I do own all con/gnt games, I’m even looking to get a gnt4 promotional GameCube controller case and possibly some promotional sheets for EX 1, I ordered the Japanese versions of gnt 1 and 2 recently, so technically I don’t own every gnt game YET, however Naruto Collection and the demos for con2 and gnt3, well I don’t know if I’ll ever own those, do you own any of the items I listed, it’s nice to talk to a hardcore con/gnt fan

@@Tsumacc I've wanted to....but in order to get those promotional items, you gotta pay FAR out the ass for shipping depending on where you live. I have the demo, but the promo ones for the EX games are not easy to buy anyways. I don't even think EX 3 or Special received any promotional gifts or whatever. The biggest reason I don't use emulation (aside from not even possessing a computer to do so....) is because emulating isn't going to improve the game, my own skill or translate it for me. Since I can already understand Japanese in some form, it just made more practical sense to just own the games. And then there's the controller I use--I do not play any of the Wii games with a standard controller. I use the nunchuk combo. There's no chance I'd be able to use that setup on an emulator without having to put up with button lag. I do use the GAmecube controller to play the first Revolution and EX 1...once in a blue moon. Revolution 2 is just so superior to the first that there's no reason to touch it and EX 1...is bullshit. Definitely would enjoy talking more about the game.

D'onte Graves the promotional items weren’t too expensive to me, to most fans of the series conr2 is unfinished but I still love the game, I just use emulators to improve graphics for my videos, I do have a modded wii so I’m still able to play the gnt games, what demo do you have? Also how much was it? If I had to rank every con/gnt game it’d go like this from worst to best, EX3, CoN, EX, GNT3, Rev, CoN2, Rev3, Rev2, EX2, GNT4, then Special for the best (third favorite game of all time behind one Piece pirate warriors three and tos dotnw) also EX 3 is my least favorite because of the terrible hurricane clash mode, what’s got rankings of the con/gnt games

I found the demo in a bundle of Japan Gamecube games from a seller on ebay. It had no individual price. The bundle was $30 USD but cost double to ship. I hate shipping.... I haven't actually thought about ranking the games. Certainly, I've ranked the characters in each title, the games themselves I haven't given number rankings. This will most likely get lengthy.... Based on my experience, I think that Revolution 2 is the best game to start with for anyone who likes Naruto. That game's mechanics are solid, the combo cancelling is better and almost every character has an option or avenue to take in order to pull out a win. It is easily accessible, over everything else I say. My absolute least favorite is the worst game in the series--that's none other than EX 1. That game is fundamentally broken. Among many problems, EX lacks polish seen in its previous titles as well as content. Only 14 in the roster, you can't get rid of obstacles, there's ZERO invincibility on the ground and the game has an unfair Story Mode. The last battle pits Naruto, debatably the worst character in the game, against Hiruko and Deidara, the best two in the game. You will never win that fight the first time. I won't go on, because that game infuriates me. I can't see EX 3 as bad at all. Special copied and pasted the majority of EX 3, and EX 3 took from Revolution 2 in the first place (among the many aspects that correlate between Revolution 2 and EX 3, it is because of Revolution 2 that Yugao Uzuki and Baki were made secret characters in EX 3). I liked the Hurricane mode and how it wasn't just another battle Story Mode like every other game. There's replayability in it...the real negative to the mode is it's lack of deoth and framerate struggles. Special did nothing to improve on this, sadly and has a mode that is straight battles in order to meet achievements. EX 3 was also the first to do co-op team battles and evolved crisis ability from Revolution 2 into Senzai Ninriki. It did those before Revolution 3. EX 3 was not perfect, but it, like Revolution 2, did more than any other game in the series to freshen up the gameplay. I guess those are the games I like the best. Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 is a really mixed bag for me. And still, with games like Revolution 2, 3, EX3 and Special succeeding it, I just can't say it is the best.
