Get you a friend like Chris. He didn't abandon the main character when they couldn't run, he did his best to listen to the main character, and probably could've easily ditched the main character and would've been 10x safer and still stuck with him while he recovered from hitting his head on the tree. Chris is that friend we all need in our lives.

Well that's the question. Is it going to attack the house? Will they need to run again? They'll have the street lights on their side this time and backup is on the way. Or is it just toying with them? Like, you think you're safe, but I'm still out here. The instant you let your guard down, I will get you. But yeah, very scary, imagining that thing gliding across my backyard, even from the relative safety of my kitchen window.

Ok... Ronnie I'm gonna be straight with you I haven't had one of your stories make me feel so much fear in a while. You absolutely naileod this with the sound design and music during the chases. The absolute dread I felt was unreal. I didn't even feel safe listening in my own kitchen with all the lights on. Absolutely amazing job on the sound, characters, and overall delivery of true dread. I loved the way the author set this story up to keep suspense and worry building. And I love that when the main character hit his head on a tree the story didn't just regard it as a little "whoops I bonked my head" but as a "I might have a concussion. I can't move, this thing is still chasing us." Absolutely horrifying. Amazing job ronnie and thank you for delivering us this story.

I thought Chris was a dead man... I was relieved to see both characters make it through to the end, forboding though it was. Another crackin' piece here Ronnie, as per usual. Very traditional "bread and butter" type CreaturePasta in the woods from the perspective of a couple terrified kids, however it was very particularly well written for such a piece. I do so enjoy these types of tales... Fabulous performance and particularly excellent job on the audio for this one too. Competently EQ'ed and very clean and consistent. I swear you must have gotten a new mic or something too because you came through especially clearly, very crisp. Idk, maybe it's just my ears. They can be particular about the audio input they're exposed to sometimes haha. I am a musician though, so maybe that's got something to do with it. Also you're pacing and vocal cadence has been improving tremendously. Idk if you've been putting in more work/practice into some training exercises or something, but whatever it is I can assure you that it is paying off. I hope you know that such things do not go unnoticed by your listeners... I've been both a fan and subscriber for a number of years now, and the improvements and progress you've made throughout your body of work is both marked and noticeable. I promise that if you keep creating, I'll always keep listening. Much love and appreciation from the surprisingly creepy state of WI, and keep up the wonderful good work my friend. Remember that all of the most memorable experiences worth having tend to occur... in the Dark. 😉👽💀😈😱

I come back to this story most frequently out of all the ones on your channel. It's so genuinely unsettling in the way that it's written. It sets up an atmosphere, and really succeeds at fulfilling that atmosphere all the way up to the end. And, naturally, your narration paired with your soundtrack really sells it as well. Top notch storytelling from both narrator and author.💖

I don’t know if I’m wrong but my mind kept telling me that this was a Predator stalking them. A few of the details don’t line up exactly but the tall, white silhouette. The identical clicking. The vocal mimicry to lure them in. Plus Yautja naturally have deep, inhuman voices when they speak in the movies.

But why predator hunting unarmed children? Its not worth "hunting" for them and i think it's against their code.

Definitely a bad blood if it is a yautja. It seemed more interested in terrifying them than a predator normally does (repeating what they say to them in it’s normal voice). Like I said a couple details don’t line up but a lot of them do. Especially when it was moving through the treetops at an inhuman speed (some yautja also do all the time).

@Nguyễn Danh Bằng 11A2 no problem! Predator lore is actually a lot more expansive than a lot of people realize. IF this is one, it’s gotta be a “criminal”predator because it wouldn’t be hunting kids and it seems to be openly unconcerned about honor.

Wow. This is definitely one of the best narrations you've ever done, thank you so much for doing this! The way you did the sound effects and just the way you did the whole video really captured my attention from start to finish, which is crazy because it's a 40-minute video. The story is also really cool because it isn't one of those really complicated and hard-to-follow stories, it's a simple story which is cool because as the listener/reader you can kinda put yourself in the characters' shoes.

I posted my comment but just in case I’m posting a new one. Thank you for breathing your endless talent and creativity into this story. This scary story was hardly narrated on KZbin, so I’m happy that you have helped others to hear it. I’ve heard it countless times by Otis Jiry but man did you exceed my expectations. It was like I was listening to it the first time. You have such a way of allowing your listeners to imagine what’s going on and setting the atmosphere. I laid in bed my breath caught in my throat, chills down my body as I listened. I love listening to stories that have me at the edge of my seat. I always wondered what happened after the monster crawls across the grass. Brilliantly executed my friend. Looking forward to future videos. God bless. Love and light 💛🌻

Everything from your mesmerizing voice paired with your uncanny ability to incur emotional responses and feelings in your audience so subtly but flawlessly is something Godgiven…you can’t learn this!!! And on top of all this ability and talent you add in amazing sound effects and voice inflection that is just genius….The way I feel is that when you do a story for an audience, it’s more than a reading….it’s a completely immersed sensory experience!
