When I make that pattern I don’t put a border on it. Yours looks really good. Might have to borrow your idea. Think I will make the border end grain though. Nice job.

I also did without borders, but I decided to make borders with the edge grain, because in my opinion the natural beauty of the walnut is revealed better.
