Funny how Curtis Stone and other popular farm channels never made content like this. It's almost like they were....grifters. My farm has been a DBA for the past ten years, as I only farm as a side hustle, but we made so much money last year we're going to have to become an LLC. I realize I've been screwing myself after Helene, because my farm had about $10K worth of damage and I had to pay for it all out of pocket. Thankfully my family has some wealthy cousins, because I did not have 10K on hand. Now I owe my older cousin 10k, but at least I have my farm restored. Moral of the story is to set up an LLC up front and legally become a farm. I guess I'm going to use the Zen site you showed in the video. You make the best farm content on KZbin bro. Keep it up and you will be a legend! What kind of cannabis are you growing? CBD I would imagine since you are in Tennessee?

Another great video packed with information 👍👍. At this point in my (old) life, I'm just looking to grow high quality vegetables in my backyard garden ... and the best way to store them for long term use. Here in the northeast (central NY) the growing season is short! I've spent years enriching my garden soil with an organic mindset to produce nutrient dense vegetables. I've come to believe that most commercially available produce lacks the trace elements that were available when I was a youngster. And you can't beat the freshness of vegetables from a home garden vs. from the grocery store picked days or weeks ago and shipped hundreds of miles or more! I really enjoy your videos Chef Mikey so keep up the good work.
@chefsharvestfarm5 күн бұрын
Thanks Mike! Everything that you just said is really what inspired me to grow my own food. After working in the restaurant biz for over 20 years getting produce off the truck. I started shopping at the farmers market. I realized I had been trying to make high quality dishes out of low quality produce. There was a guy who sold music garlic. And to me garlic just came in a tub… when I realized I could buy garlic from this guy and plant a clove to have my own top shelf garlic, that’s way better than anything I could buy… that’s what sparked all of this for me. It was garlic 👊
@MikeV6073 күн бұрын
@@chefsharvestfarm Yes, as I mentioned before in a 'past life' I was a cook, but in a seafood restaurant so not much involvement with produce. My passion is more personal and in the belief that most grocery produce is nowhere near as nutrient dense as what I can grow. 😊

I grow it under the federal hemp program. It has to be under .03% DELTA 9THC on a dry weight basis, 30 days pre harvest… which is a very specific rule. Since most weed is high in THCA. Not Delta 9…. And it doesn’t matter what it tests post harvest… but this year they came and burned it all 🤣🤣🤣
