Thank you for your explanation, I am making my first inkle krokbragd!

Have you ever considered making some parts of your videos with the camera mounted above your hands, kinda above your head, to give a point of view from the way you, or the weaver, is actually viewing the work in progress? I think I'm more clearly understand your instructions presented this way.

Thank you for this video! I am attempting to weave Traditional on page 107 of Anne Dixon's Inkle Pattern Directory and couldn't quite figure out how to lift U2 without including U3.

Joan, first, thanks for your videos, excellent!. I notice when you are weaving you are "pinching" the weft as you pull - what's the theory behind that, is it just to feel the tension?
@JoanSheridan3 жыл бұрын
It is so I can feel when the weft hits the selvedge. I can feel when it is right better than I can see when it is right.

@@JoanSheridan Thanks Joan - I'll give that a shot.

I am unable to come into the store for a course. I would love to do Krokbragd on my Inkle loom. Is you beginner course to do the herd of sheep available on line? Also is there instructions on how to create patterns for other shapes? TIA

I know it's been a while since you asked, but I'll provide an answer anyhow. I did a tutorial/video for Long Thread Media that can be purchased on their site. I have a handbook with video links in the works.

Thank you very much for your videos!! I've recently started weaving on a inklette loom. What type of yarn are you weaving with? I'm using 8/2 cotton and find the patterns don't show as well. Or maybe I'm beating too hard? :)
@JoanSheridan3 жыл бұрын
I most often use 8/4. The size of yarn should be proportional to the intended use. I would use an 8/2 for garment trim and 8/4 for a belt or bag strap. Hope that helps!

Joan, I’m doing the class on this thru your link to long thread media. You said you use DMC Cebelia for your heddles. What size?
@JoanSheridan3 жыл бұрын
I use mostly 20, but sometimes 10. Rarely 30-only use it for fine threads.
