In today's video I'm unboxing another box of stuff that I bought from a hoarder which I purchased for only $200. This is the best thing about reselling, what a thrill to buy a haul for $200 that you can make $10,000 in sales from. What other job can you do that while working from home!

@@backfromburnout There are bell ringer groups that are more of a percussion style, but they're made of brass, I think, and not glass. The ones you have may be ornamental at best. Also, if you haven't already done it, make an eBay section called The Vintage Collection or something along those lines.

the ceramic duck is from Germany. Stube is the German word for room. Keramik-Stube is the name of the shop and Angelika Cirus is the name of the shop owner. It’s at least 30 years old because it has the 4 digit postal code of Büdingen. Germany switched to 5 digit postal codes in 1993

I can help solve somethings. 1. The lint shaver is great. gets rid of the pills on sweater. 2. the white bowel with symbols can be sold with the tarot cards. Used for telling fortunes with tea. 3. the santa and other heavy candle holders are from a company called Partylite in USA a candle company that had parties/sales in your home in the 90's. 4. Rouge Royale is an ashtray. 5. the record brush cleans the albums (should get a good price, in demand) 6 Goblet, look for a marking for , again sell with the tarot cards. 7. Dyson pottery may be for a candle. 8. The Madonna bra suits are candle holders that are missing the metal holders. 9 I think the cut glass bell shapes glasses are wine glasses that sit in an ice bucket. 10. the tile is a hot plate. 11. brass is part of a lamp 12. wooden nutcracker. 13. round tile is not a wall hanging, its a hot plate to protect your table from hot dishes. Hope this helps!

Ok, so here are my thoughts. A Taro deck consists of four suits just like a regular deck of cards, each suit has 14 cards these are called the Minor Arcana. There are additionally 22 Major Arcana in every deck so 78 cards in a complete deck. Gobblet might also be known as chalice or grail. Villeroy and Bosch is a German ceramics manufacturer. Quality items, most likely some are very collectable. I am guessing that is a or coaster/tile to put hot items on, pots or oven dishes (sorry don't know the English word for it). I didn't quite see it but I guess that yellow glass cylinder is probably a candle holder, the hole should be on top. The 2 jingly bell looking things are a part of a candelabra, you are missing the foot. The wooden soldier I am pretty sure is a nut cracker. The glass with the ship is just a decorative piece popular, at least in Scandinavia, I remember seeing similar items but I don't know any more. Also didn't quite see it but that platter looking thing with the cork back might also be for a coaster for a hot pot or oven dish. Ittala is a well known Finnish glassmaker. Many of their items are very collectable and valuable. Also the 3 snowball looking tealight holders look familiar, I am not quite sure might be from Kosta Boda which are a Swedish company. Hope this helps. I am really loving this Vlog style day in a life videos 🙂

Hi, again, Mel. I've now watched the rest of the video ;o). The 'Rouge Royale' (royal red) is an ash tray, those tarnished brass 'bell things' were upside down. They are parts to make a brass candelabra. The unpainted soldier, looks like a modern reproduction of a Victorian Soldier Nut Cracker. Check all your glass before selling. Look out especially for the name 'Lalique.' world famous french glass. If you find one, Bingo! The brass thing with the shop tag is the burner part of an oil lamp. The main base and tall glass tube which encloses the flame are missing. The knob on the side increases or decreases the flame intensity. Sell the plaque with that design. It's unmistakably in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. A famous scottish architech, who is world renound. Probably just a 'tourist piece' but still worth something. Hope that helps. good luck!

Wooden soldier is a nutcracker. SY/0 is a pond boat made in england. The SY/0 I think refers to the size as you can get SY/4 and 6 which look larger. Brass piece towards the end of the video, I think is an oil lamp. Retro clock has french wording - translation 'I want your diamond and your love'. Poppa is Scandinavian, Good Value.

Hi, Mel. Those glasses without the feet are simply champagne toasting glasses for any special celebration. The glasses typically come with a glass vase container that they sit in. From the video the glasses look to have a ground design. These may be 'cut glass' 'crystal' if you're lucky, much better than 'moulded.' Hold the glass by the stem, upside down, and gently flick the glass with your finger. If it has a long 'ring' to it, you may have crystal. Which will be worth more! Good luck! Love the videos!

The Rouge (Rooje - like the blusher) Royale is an ashtray but could easily be used as an incense holder. The 2 lovely green vases/jars look like they could be ginger jars so maybe keep an eye out for any lids in the other boxes. Also do some research on the brass stuff as some of the marked stuff is higher value.

I think I learned the most by going to antique stores which would often describe the item on the tag or by asking questions about things I didnt know anything about. These days I watch resellers on KZbin and try to learn about things that came after my time, like video games. I started before the internet was a thing. I studied books like Kovel's antiques. I learned about antiquarian books by visiting bookstores and by reading Bookman's Weekly, studying the articles. Bookman's Weekly was a magazine (that came in the mail) where booksellers would list books they are were looking for and if you had the book you would send them a letter describing the book you had and quoting a price. If they wanted it, they would send you a letter and you would ship it to the book dealer who would then sell it to his client. It was a slower process then!

Ah, you beat me to it! Yes, Mel, it's the coat of arms of Trinity College Cambridge, one of the oldest colleges in the UK, dating back to the 1500s. Personally I think that might be some kind of wall plinth or sconce, going by the patina on the top. Looks Victorian or older, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's from the college buildings somewhere.

The cork backed circular tile item that you showed with the abstract design is a trivet. In American people hang them on the wall as art, but can also be used to put hot plates on. The brass item can be shined but people buy them here in America all tarnished for a Cottage Core look.

Mel you need to look up ' Chinese Green Glazed Gember Shekwan /Shiwa Jar ' The goblet looks more like Indian or Thai silver chalice vintage You have a lovely Collectable Australian Mid Century Dyson studio pottery float bowl ( It is not Aunt - it is Aust for Australia) The big soldier I think is for dispensing cigarettes/cigars The white and blue pointy things could possibly fit as candle holders - like in the metal bracket that you then found. Check for signature on the large crystal ornament with ship - check for matts jonasson. The heaviness is lead in the crystal. I think the round small candle holders are by Kosta boda Snowball votive holders Have fun!

The wooden soldier might be a nutcracker, that wood carved crest could be worth quite a bit, those glass bell things might be champagne flutes which sit in a cooled bucket. Love that yellow glass paper weight/candlestick holder thingy, that aqua coloured triangular retro alarm clock looks pretty cool too, looks like you got a lot of research to do Mel lol. What an amazing assortment of items. That man certainly had an eye for glass ware. I wonder if he had antique shop in England before he moved to Australia. Looks like you are going to have some fun researching all those items. Another amazing video. Our minds think alike when you thought those cone things reminded you of Madonna hee hee.

I Believe the brass “bell” is actually a candle snuff. They us them here in the US in churches. It would be connected with that ring to a pole on the top. For reaching very tall candles. Love your content! I’ll keep watching!

Rouge Royal was a popular design by Carlton ware - most likely an ashtray. Look for markings on the bottom of the goblet - most likely silver plate and not worth much. The birdcage is a pomander

Hey Beautiful Lady, I've missed you!!! I have been off KZbin/Social Media for just over about a month. We were moving to our winter home in FL, first time we've done this "snowbird" thing. Trying to get set up and organized and some inventory here, oh my, I can relate to your move just a tiny bit. What an awesome deal on spending $200 and making at least $10k. You got some really unique things for sure. You could have used that lint shaver back in the day when you started and selling clothes. Those are bells for sure with the dinger missing, LOL. Maybe for one cigar (pink holder), Dang you got like a full set of Catholic Communion items. 😂😂😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 The Madonna Look!!! Oh I love the owls. Maybe I should do more books - make one home books and our other home vintage and random stuff, 🤣🤣

Hi there, I might help you with some of the objects: your wooden soldier is a nutcracker. Those are very popular in Germany. Villeroy und Boch is an expansive German brand. It looks like a platter for hot things to put on, that you can`t put on the table directly, because they came strait from the oven. Oh, and the little painted duck also came from Germany an it is handcraftet. Hope that is helpful to you, Love your videos, kind regards Martina

Hi Mel, Those glass candle holders are definitely worth checking in to along with the glass boat sculpture. Villory Bosch is a great brand, definitely a trivet. Same with the round tile with the cork on the back. Those glass “bells” are champagne glasses. They usually come with a bowl or vase of some sort to hold them. That brass thing with the two “bells” is most likely part of a Candelabra. Maybe? Those glass cones I believe are candle holders but they are missing the metal holders. I am interested in that record brush. Let me know if you list it.

The tea cup with all the symbols inside may be for reading tea leaves. The wooden soldier is a Nut Cracker. Popular at Christmas time. The Denmark "candle holder" may be an egg cup for hard boiled eggs. The brass piece with the spikey things in the center may be the bottom part of a coal oil lamp. Missing the shade. DO NOT POLISH THE SILVER OR BRASS!! Just give it a dust and be done. Collectors want the patina. LOVE the show and tell videos. :)
