I really gotta get this off my chest, please bare with me. I’m really tired of women criticizing, complaining, and having breakdowns over turning 24/25 That. Is. So. Young!! I feel like the more we see young women having breakdowns about being 24+ the more we’re conditioned to feel that way when we get there. I know it’s a natural part of growing up to feel this way. Heck, I even had a panic attack when I turned 18. But we need to stop letting people/media tell us that after 23 it’s downhill from there. When you’re in your 40s, 50s, or 60s, you’ll realize just how freaking young 24 was. My point is, you are young, please stop believing this dumb notion that you are “old” after 21. It’s so sad to see so many girls believe this.. Live in the moment and be young while you are. There’s so much beautiful life ahead of you! Don’t wait till you’re 50 to realize it when the moment’s already passed you by. :( Love you, Taylor. And happy birthday!! :) Ps. This is in no way complaining about Taylor. I think it’s the fault and result of how we’re brought up through the media.

it's not just a woman thing. I'm a guy and had a breakdown when I turned 20 and when I turned 24. At both times, I didn't feel like an adult. I'm turning 25 in 1 week and still don't feel like an adult lol. The only difference between me at 18-19 and me today is that I look older. But people still treat me like i'm this grown man who has his life together, which I do not.

24 is still not that young for a woman tho that’s when they start lowering their standards and panicking because they feel like they’re getting old. 23 is the last “super young” year for a woman, imo. In my experience almost every young woman goes into a slight panic mode at 24, because it’s one year away from 25, and closer to 30.
