Please do a large one. The sphere projects are really awesome. The small one looks cool but a big one would probably be insane. I'd also mount it above light and position it so that it's splitting the beams for an extra cool end-of-video shot. Cheers!

Reminds me of crystals. The camera simply can't quite capture everything there is to see. I'd love to see one of these up close in the sphere.

Great job, I can appreciate the effort it takes to get a cast looking that good. One thing I'd like to mention is that if you can find an epoxy with the same refractive index as the glass of the cube, the sides will disappear, and all you will see is the coatings floating in the middle of the ball

Thank you for the flashing light warning. It's not the sort of stimulus that I'm sensitive to, but it's always better to be safe than sorry! 🤗 I think there is some effect, but I'd love to see the results with the bigger cube too!

@@BensWorx if you want to find a big one without paying for one you might be able to salvage one from a projector in a tech dump. Not sure if they're called tech dumps in Australia, but they're basically trash cans that are specific to electronics so people can see if there are any salvageable parts in them. Most electronics stores have at least one. One year my college was getting rid of some of the older overhead projectors and these cubes are what make all the colors appear in the projection, so she was able to get a couple cubes for free. She put one on top of her lamp which made these beautiful colors all over her room depending on which side was on the bottom at the time. Maybe your big sphere could be part of your lamp series and you can shine rainbows across your shop with it. Only thing bad about getting them this way is you won't know when any will pop up, so you have to just make it a habit of stopping by to check just like with thrifting. If you want a more immediate result you can probably just buy a cheaper used projector off ebay and take the cube out of that.
