turning a Putty Knife into a KNIFE knife

In a collection of tools I received from some friends of ours (Thank you Jim and Kristie!!), was an old putty knife, that was just begging to become a knife knife. So I remove the putty.

Thanks! I loved the look of this thing, but did not need it as a scraper. So to me, it wanted to be a sharp pokey thing ;)

Maybe you could install the side handle that came with the grinder instead of the eye bolt Just a thought 🤙🏻 Awesome knife idea I’m in to try one Thanks

Thanks, would love to hear how it comes out! I have the handle, but this allows for finer control IMHO. Have not put it back on since adding the eye bolt. It's safe to say I'm pretty happy with it :)

In the couple years since that video (which is only now starting to pick up steam for some reason?) my editing skills have gotten marginally better and I normalize the audio now 😉 Marginally. It's all about minor improvements. And still janky. 😀

Did you anneal the knife to soften it before hand?

There was no need to do so since it is extremely thin material.
