First let me start by saying, I love trucks and Stacey. Best show to ever be on powerblock and a major part of my youth. That being said shows like this need to not leave things out especially when things get difficult because guys starting out are going to run into this. First thing of two was when they found out that other bedside was glued on showing how they got it off and was the other bedside savable after getting it off. The second thing was he said install the gas filler neck well one was there a provision for it in the bedside and two was a 3-in bulge did it reach the bedside. Other than that shows like this are great.

Wow what’s crazy is seeing a young David Freiburger. Same guy from Road Kill and all over Motor Trend channel now. He’s so young and apparently a bystander at the time.

Ironically I am looking to put fiberglass fenders on my F150. For a couple reasons...A, looks since let's face it, fiberglass gives a whole different attitude to a truck. B, durability. I live in PA and my fenders have developed so much rust in certain areas, it is not cost effective to fix it. Spending extra money on fiberglass replacements will be better than spending all the materials to fix the metal.

Same here Dustin, Happen to be building a hotrod '97 Ranger long bed for year round use. V8 already in and running. Clean truck but the bedsides are chewed up from OH winters. Would be a cool year round look on my 3/2 lowered Ranger. Digs for the winter and cheater slicks for the summer. I'm trying to find them elsewhere, fabtech no longer offers them.

@commanderdan23193 жыл бұрын
@@carterwiltbank416 use steel rivets, not aluminum. You could also bond them with adhesive. There is an adhesive specifically for bonding carbon fiber to metal but I don't remember what it's called. Also, you can simply use bolts/screws and nuts. You simply put the nuts on the outside (so they're hidden under the fenders) and it can look just as good.
