Turning and installing some Shaker pegs

Over the years, I've turned a lot of Shaker pegs and Shaker knobs. In this video, I make two more, for hanging robes beside our wardrobes in the bunk room.

What was the step at 3:37 when you covered it in wood shavings for a moment?

After final sanding, I grab a handful of shavings to burnish the wood before applying finish.
